I've been playing a couple months now. I've finally got level 55 mage and 70 combat. I've been to the ice cave and fought the lessers. I fished lobs and swordies to keep myself fed. I mined to level 50 and crafted to level 40. I've done about all free quests. What other intersting things could I do? Should I train my ranged now? Or is there not much good things to do unless I become a member?

you can:

 

 

 

1. be one of the best players in f2p, which is pretty difficult i can tell you. i used to have a strong resistance to be a member because of that goal

 

 

 

2. be a member, which i did (:P), and there is a lot more to do. You may want to train your f2p skills up a bit more before you become members tho so you can do a lot of things and not have to train much (i had nearly 1000 total skills before i became members, thank god i did)

I'd say you should start leveling... Seems like 70 combat is really easy to get these days so I suggest you get 90+ combat..... which is also really easy to get now... :roll:

If you have a picture of your stats/skills that might help others tell you what to do, but since you don't have one posted, i'll just assume that you should work on some of the lower ones, try getting everything above 40-45, then become a member if you want :D

Of course leveling up can be a good goal. And getting lots of money can be another goal. But what fun is it if you are doing it simply for the sake of doing it? I mean what good is money if you don't have a good plan to use for some good fun? I trained my mage to 55 because I wanted to try the fun of high alching. I trained my combat because I need the chaos and deaths for the magic trainning, plus I wanted to fight lessers. I trained my runecrafting for the low level runes. I trained my crafting because, well it is fun to craft those gems into good magic pieces.

 

 

 

Now that swordies is the highest level fish I can catch. What use it has to level up more? I've cooked about every kind of food a free player can. What use it has to level up cooking? I can level up wood cutting but I can't use willows or yews on anything since I can't do fleching, right? I'm already fighting lessers. Who good will leveling up combat do me? Who else can I fight? I'm still not sure if I want to kill players yet. Perhaps I could level up mining some more and one day I will be able to make rune armors, that sounds fun. But mining coals is sooo boring. :P

Well, you can always try to save up enough money for a rare.

 

A higher fishing lvl helps to catch fish faster, a higher cooking lvl helps to burn less. You can try to lvl up your woodcutting so that you can beat those pesky autoers and sell the logs, or just burn them for firemaking xp. Perhaps, if you don't want to pk yet you could go to the demonic ruins and fight greater demons, but if you go there you'd have to watch out for pkers. Mining is a lot easier to get up than smithing, so if you want to make rune armour I would suggest you merchant to get a good amount of money, then buy ores or bars to train your smithing up.
