this is just a thread requesting a bigger alowed sig size

 

 

 

i was just wondering if there are plans to change the sig size at all considering its only 30kb atm... thats kinda really low making it hard to get a 300x100 pixel abstract without losing too much quality to "JPEG the slayer!" :( anyway maybe if a mod can inform me on this issue :)

There have been many petitions here requesting a bigger signature size but all have been dis-allowed. If we've got this far with the current size there isn't really a need to change it.

larger file size (50kb) should be implemented although I do not believe we need a larger size (pixel) for them...

IMO there is a big need to change it.. i mean cmon... 30kb... thats like tiny... i cant even get my new sig i just made on the forums even as a LOW JPEGmonster! :cry: :cry:

But yeh, I agree, we do need a bigger size.

File>Save for web, PNG-8Bit, and play with settings tillyour under 30kb and still have good quality :roll:

We are looking at suggestions some have sent for bigger total sig dimensions (bigger than 300x150 pix) but don't expect anything yet. As for the file sizes of sigs, we can't allow any bigger and the max amount probably will never change as more file size means more cost to keep the forums running to allow all these bigger signatures from so many users.
