Hot Keys

Featured Replies

well first i want to say runescape as gone a long ways and it is still improving, but what i thought whould be nice and i think other people who play the game would agree with his having hot keys in the game such as the numbers 1,2,3,4 etc. or F1,F2,F2,F4, etc. for instance you can hot key food when PvP or a magic still so all you have to do is press the hot key and then click on your target instead of going to you book then clicking on the spell and then clicking on your target. this is just an idea cause i mean the game would have more flexible key board action not meantion it would be easier. also maybe an on or off option for those players that dont like hot keys well plz comment on the idea. THX YOU ^_^

Simply clicking F1 to eat would make you invincible until you ran out of food.

You said it yourself:

"It would make the game a lot easier."

Too easy in my opinion.

Offline and unavailable.

Pressing F1 would open Internet Explorer help, so you would lag suddenly, lose control over your character, and die. :wall:

^^that would be an issue, too many programs that Microsoft makes already have a load of hot keys, as opposed to a cd based game where the only hotkeys are the ones useful for the game

People still use that?

Anyway, I think Jagex are really against hotkeys, hence why there were so many RSC (and, now, some RS2) bots which used them.

Makes the game too easy.

There's another hotkey. Drop your most valueable item and press Alt+F4 to double it.

Just kidding

if there were hotkeys then every time you would want to type you would have to press eneter and then start eating and if you forgot you might eat all of you food or accidently attack something you didn't want to and die. I think that runescape is easy enough to get around quickly and doesn't need hotkeys.

You have the right, and people have the right to hate you for it.

Thus, the circle of life is complete.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

in my opinion i think spell hot keys would own! there has been to many times where i have been pking and by the time i get my magic screen open and find entangle or ice blitz the person has logged or gotten out of sight.

^^ agreed.

Well, well well. So somebody revived my three months old suggestion heh?

And hotkeys does not make the game easier. It simply makes it less tedious and less fingers being broken. All other games (the big ones anyway) have them, so why not?
