Ring of Forging

I am about to Smith iron into Iron Bars. I was wondering how many Iron Bars one can make before the ring melts. Is it random? Is there a certain number it will make before it will melt?

I believe it's about 200 or so (at least that's what I remember). If you check out the Crafting Skill Guide on this site, scroll down to where the jewelry is and it'll specify how many Iron bars can be forged out of the Ring of Forging.

The ring of Forging has 140 uses before it melts. :)

There is a slight problem, the 140 uses on a ring is not shown on the ring if you know what I mean (unlike Ring of Dueling), so try and make sure you smelt full loads and pay attention to when the ring melts, so you minimise loss of iron ore as a result of ring of forging melt.

It's actually a "hidden" stat of the player.

It lasts 140 ore, which is 5 loads....5 x 28 = 140
