May 18, 200620 yr In runescape classic, december the 25th 2001, party hats were dropped. Pumkins, santa hats, return disks, easter eggs, half-wines, and masks followed in the years after. Now i'm wondering if there will ever be the time when all tradable rares will be in locked accounts (banned), or in lost accounts. Could this happen? [Admin Edit: Do Not Post Referral Links]
May 18, 200620 yr Not likely, but it's possible. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=525348 - My Pking Gallery I'M BACK FOR SUMMER BABY

May 18, 200620 yr Maybe in like, 2030 If runescape is still around, Which it proablly will. Of course Acconts who quit would still have rares, and there prices will skyrocket to 2.1 Billion... http://vashinred.googlepages.com/
May 18, 200620 yr In theory, it's possible. In practice, I doubt RuneScape will be around for long enough to see that happen, as it will still take a long time.. The value of my bank at its height. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 250 billion+.Most likely the largest trade in RuneScape ever. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 70 billion+.
May 18, 200620 yr Well, you can be quite sure: Yes, but NO! Their will be accounts locked (goodby rares). Players will quite (Rares still excist!). Only for the players that leave, their is hope! These might have children later, and when Runescape still excists, they will recover their old account, WITH the RARE. That's the only possibility for them to live on. Or they are giving from father to son. Most likely the old account recovery. But when they are all gone for sure, JaGeX might release some new rares for 1 day. (Even tough they didn't say they would do it, but 60%+ of the economy is based on these rares.) Sure is: When their are players with a Santa from a recover account is like 2030, they will keep it. Not selling, price and memory are very high! Note: If Runescape still excists in 2030, it might be Runescape 4! So it's possible we can't transfer our rares to that if Runecape as we know it now will be locked :( "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
May 18, 200620 yr I've been wondering about that latey too. I think they'll keep trading them to other newer accounts, but some will be lost to bans, qutting, and other things. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
May 19, 200620 yr Author Crash! Will the rares market ever do this? People will not be able to afford them! [Admin Edit: Do Not Post Referral Links]

May 20, 200620 yr Half wines weren't a drop either, though we're going off topic here. "Rares" i.e. discontinued items, will remain tradable, and no new ones will be made. No holiday or one time drops in future will be tradable, as Jagex have stated that the current situation with the rare item prices was not intended, though it was unforseeable. They will continue to be tradable, due to the outcry which would occur if they changed this. And yes, in the long term prices will continue to rise, as more people can afford them, and more get lost from bans, alchs, eating, or just people who keep them forever and so take them from the market (like my santa hat). It is also worth noting that the price cap has been increased from ~2.1bil (think it was about 2^31 or 2.147bil) to an amount no one is likely to reach. I think the value is around 2^63 now, if you want figures. This is due to binary coding. There was a thread about this a while ago, use search button. 89/99 farming
