Another Barrow Question

Please forgive me if you have a "omg... not another one" feeling in your head :P

 

 

 

When does the kill count come in play when determining what treasure you get? Is it when you open or when you search the chest?

i guess no1 knows an answer, so... I have to change my question a bit :P

 

 

 

1. From where i am standing, Burgh de Rott bank seems extremely near to Barrows, how come a lot of the guides dont mention that bank, besides having no temple nearby? or is the temple reason enough?

 

 

 

2. How does Karil's cross bow compare to magic short on rune arrows on damage and speed? I have gotten a bunch of racks and possibly want to invest in a crossbow in my barrowing against ahrim...

I like to close the chest again when I kill a brother at the chest and then open it.

BdR was a recent update to the game, nearly all Barrows guides were written before it existed :)

 

 

 

My mate who uses my Karil xbow (dont have 70 range yet) says it's pretty good, but i'm not sure it's worth the risk taking just to kill ahrim unless you're a high combat lvl or rich.

 

 

 

And i've no idea about the last question :/ Good one. I'd hope it's after you search...

I tried taking xbow to Ahrim once aswell, and even tho it hits well, I kill him faster with msb and rune arrows (81 range).

 

Plus it's not really worth the risk for just Ahrim imo.

I kill gunthan and Torag relatively unharmed, only need the odd fish here and there. I just seems to cant get enough of ahrim's fire wave, nor racks from the chest :P so thats why i am wondering..
