Whats wrong with kurasks and turoth?

Kurasks i admit are quite lousy droppers (does these guys realy drop white mystic top????? 1k of them and nothing so far....) thu they are nice nats and clue droppers.

But turoths are great, especially for herbs & herb seeds & clues.

Both are also good range training and classic "bones to peaches" task.

At your lvl u cant go the slayer master at shilo and i wouldnt advice going back to Veneka at edgevill. So stick with the Zanaris guy untill u hit cb 100.

I know exactly what you mean, for like 2 weeks straight I've been averaging 1 kurast or turoth assignment for every other task I get. But the ranged xp I can get on these task is definatly worth it plus the clues and other drops more than pay for my time there.

I killed 700+ kurasks before finally getting a mystic top :)

Thats how slayer works....

Every few tasks youll get the highest possible task you can do, so if youre 75 slayer, youll be doing a lot of kurasks-- if you use lost city Slayer master. Chaeldar-> slayer dungeon tasks, Shilo-> slayer tower tasks. The only time this doesnt work is with abyssal demons when you need to be 86 to start getting them as a task.

If you dont like kurasks youre in for a lot of trips to Burthorpe. I never really understood why people didnt like kurasks, theyre easy to kill with range, the drops are better then average, and unlike turoths they stay in one spot frequently so you dont run out and take damage/create lots of arrow drop spots.

so they are good to range? I thought good was to use the leaf blooded spear or whatever, but when i get a slayer assignment i might try to range em for fun if they are really so good range exp.

Currently training all skills to or above 60.

Barrows drops: 87 runs done so far. Torag Platebody on 4th run. Guthan Chainskirt on 35th run. Dharok Helm on 45th run. Torag platelegs on 49th run. Ahrim Robeskirt on 86th run.

4 safe range spots, depending on where you set up you get a few spawns you can pick off without moving. It takes a little bit of cost, since youll need maybe 1k broad arrows to start out, but the drops will pay for the arrows every time. If you dont want to melee for slayer, kurasks are a very nice assignment.

I use lost city slayer master at 75 slayer and i tend to get gargoyles alot, not kurasks.

If you're gonna do Kurask or Turoth slayer tasks, the only way to go is range them. Melee is a bad idea since the leafbladed spear is a horrible weapon (I've seen potted lvl 123s hit zero upon zero with it), magic won't pay itself back unless you grow a lot of cats and barrow a lot.

What I do is everytime I go for a new slayer task I bring 6 or 7k and buy broad arrows to keep my stock around 1k arrows for an average cost of 65 each. This will pay itself back easily, Turoth drop clues and high herb seeds (and mystic bottoms, but they seem to be very rare), Kurask drop rune longs, addy plates and clues (and mystic tops, but again very rare). I once had a Kurask task of about 150 which left me with 6 rune longs, 8 addy plates and a clue. The longs and plates alched for a nice 150k and the clue allways gets you some nice rune items.

Then explain to me why I never get assigned Dust Devils?

Unlucky, i know for sure that Lost City assigns Dust Devils though. Try changing a task at burthorpe, completing it then going back to lost city, its supposed to be a 50% chance of the highest slayer monster you can kill. And it works for me the majority of the time.

If anyone is having trouble killing turoths with melle just put on your best melle armour,barrows/blackhide gloves,a blackhide top and a msb

You kill them insanely fast and they almost never hit me at 83 range/77 defence.

Also my best turoth assignment got me like 6 clues from 120 of em as well as like 10 rannar seeds.
