I always tell everyone Smithing earns good it's one of the basic money earners and it cant go wrong really like merchanting or something like that. Just get your smithing up to 48 (steel pl8s if im right..?) and high alc them i made my first millions with it.

Made your first mil's with it? Only if you mined the iron and coal yourself.Put it like this. If you buy ores...It is 500 gp about per bar to make. Then they are worth 650 each.............STOP HERE! You make 150 profit per bar! But lets do the maths here...You make something like 1k bars. Then make them into steel plates=200 steel plates.(1k steel bars is 500k to make/buy)

 

Then buy 200 nats @ 300 each=60k, so you are 560k down before alching...Then 200X1,200=240k? Putting you -320k down...Greeeeeaaaaat money maker :roll: BUT Remember that you MAKE 180k by making and mining...Which is a lot slower than making 1k with a profit of 150k, so do what he said but NO STEEL PLATES!

Are you saying to just sell the bars instead of smithing them into items?

yes, until you get up to 85ish and can make full addy.

Steel bars is a really good way to make money. And they sell really easily too. Mine all you need at the grand tree.
