AP courses give 5.0 max ;)

i guess my school is too small to have honor classes i guess. . . i took 3 years of french too . .then i just quit cuz meh .. i didn't see much use in it. .

edit .. dam . . u know chinese. . .i wnana take courses but i dun wnana have to pay some private school. . .

Easiest way to learn any language(s) is to live where they speak it.

Yep, we moved to China for 3 yrs when i was 10 to 13. Totally awesome country

Figured that's what happened. It's good you don't forget it since moving somewhere else makes it tough to remember a language when no one else speaks it.

how would u reply back for ni hao then?

  • Author

same thing...here's a conversation:

Lemad - Ni hao

Me - Ni hao, ni hao ma?

Lemad - wo hen hao.

Translation:

Ni hao = Hi, hello

Ni hao ma = how are you?

Wo hen hao = very good

Direct translation: [ In chinese when u put single words together they have different meanings ]

Ni hao = You good

Ni hao ma = you good, and there's no translation for "ma" usually you put the ma at the end of some sentences.

Wo = I

Hen = very

hao = good

this should be easy enough don't u think?

Current Culture Fact:

All cantonese speakers knows mandarin, but have an cantonese accent when speaking mandarin. It's kinda like a fashion statment - most people that speaks mandarin trys to speak with a cantonese accent... their definition of "coolness".

i see. . .strange. .but i thougt cantonese was slowly going away or something .. .meh. ..better learn mandarin just to be on the safer side .. .
