Stadium with Most Advantage (Sports)

Featured Replies

Sometimes in the playoffs, winning a series or a game can be the difference of home-field advantage. So the question is, what stadiums do you think are the most defening, the stadiums that visiting players dread?

NHL=Calgary Flames (Saddledome)

NFL=Oakland Raiders (McAfee Coliseum?)

MLB=New York Yankees (Yankee Stadium)

NBA=San Antonio Spurs (SBC Center?)

I don't know much about NBA but I took my best guess. And I'm not sure if there is a "defening" stadium in baseball. But what do you guys think?

In the NHL, Calgary is alllllways a sea of red jerseys.

In NFL, Raiders fans wear the chains and paint themselves black and silver, so that's pretty scary.

Haha. Not the Spurs.

The AAC for Dallas or whatever Phoenix has maybe.

Don't know if the stadium is that much of an advantage, but I've always enjoyed watching The Lambeau Leap :P

Ecuador national football team have a big advantage. Literally. They play at thousands of feet altitude! :P

LOL...

1. Obviously not Calgary because the Lightning kicked their butts two years ago... ((BIG TIME Ligthning fan right here baby!!))

2. Yankees suck. ((BIG TIME White Sox fan here baby!!))

3. NBA sucks. <<< Period ((BIG TIME NCAA fan right here baby!!))

4. I'd have to go with Oakland... Though I've heard them Chiefs got a nice stadium too at Arrowhead... ((BIG TIME Bucs fan right here baby!!))

NBA: Back in the 90s, I guess the Knicks' Madison Square Garden must have been pretty intimidating. Also Motown (dunno the name of Detroit's place) must have been pretty scary back during the reign of the Bad Boys.

Palace of Auburn Hills is Det Pistons. Only thing its good for is brawls.

NHL - Has to be the Calgary Saddledome. Calgary, Alberta, Canada. W/L's don't matter that place can get freaking hyped up in a hurry. Loudest hockey rink there is in the NHL.

NBA - American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas. Definatley loud, very loud, and thundersticks add to it. People do NOT want to shoot foul shots there.

MLB - Yankee Stadium. Bronx, New York. The tradition, and history is enough to say this stadium is the best, but having the most loyal fans in baseball adds to it. And the fans are right there next to you screaming shouting obscenities in your face, its beautiful.

NFL - Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Georgia. THE LOUDEST DOME EVER. If youre not deaf going in you will be going out. Definatley provides so much home field advantage it aint funny.

Colts- only reason we(steelers) lost to em first time, cause there crowd noise ruined our plays.

i officially hate you! actually calgary should have won. A player kicked it in (its okay if its accidental) and the indentation of khabibulin's pad is where it was and that would also happen to be in the net. Itd be better if i showed you but i cant post pics (idk how) and then asa result game 6 or 7 (cant remember) would have been 1-0. They didnt call it a goal because it wasnt called on time and when the reviewed it, it was "questionable" which means its in :roll:

I sorta agree. I would give them 2nd, because man I'm watching the game right now, the intros, Oh man, I had to turn down the TV!!! THE TV!

Honestly during the 03-04 cup run of the flames, it was BRUTALLY loud on the TV. I mean i would have my tv to mute and you could still hear them.

In the game of cricket, playing at home and playing away can make a huge difference and can give one team massive advantage and the other massive disadvantage. The difference is so much that it can totally turn the game in the favour of one certain team. Crowd can make a little difference, but it's the conditions of the pitch and overheard pitch that makes the most difference. People that follow international cricket will probably agree with me.

I think the Yankees suck too, as I am from New England, but I have turned down plenty of tickets to Yankees (in the bronx) because I am afraid I'll get beaten up.

Got tickets to a Sox Yanks game in the Bronx, it was on short notice. Turned down.
