Peronix
Well, it's been four years since I started this game. It was fun at first, but it quickly got boring. I really don't know how I lasted this long. If I had had the presence of mind to let go of my pointless pixels a long time ago, I think I would have been a lot better off. But I'm glad I finally did. I have played this game for countless hours each day, and as a result - I don't really feel that physically good most of the time. I know I could just attempt to cut back on my play time - but I have actually tried that, and it's very hard not to say to yourself 'just another hour...' several times before you notice it's 10:00 PM. So it's time to go cold turkey, and 'kick the habit'. Actually, I don't get what about this game is so addicting anyway. Most things in the game I absolutly despise doing because they are extremely repetitive and frustrating. There are very few, fun elements that I actually enjoy. Additionaly, this game is lacking in just about every aspect of what makes a good, enjoyable MMORPG. I actually found a list online about what makes a good MMORPG, and RuneScape had very few, if any of those things. In quite a few of those things, RuneScape was the opposite. Although all of those points above have made my decide to quit, there is still I chance I will come back. It depends on if Jagex decides to put elements in the game that make it enjoyable, and/or fun elements that require no money to be enjoyable. I sold the bulk of my good members items and purchased a Disk of Returning. If I do decide to come back, then I'll have quite a bit more money than I left with. Which is a good thing :) Anyway, goodbye everyone, and happy 'scaping
whocares
Cya, you're right I hear people saying "omg it was so boring getting to 80 whatever". People play this game even if it is boring for them. Have fun with your life.
Mirror
Well sorry to see you go Peronix, gosh for some reason alot of people are quitting now. Well the one thing I see ironic is the disk of returning. Eh get it, returning, but you probally already knew that. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind. wakka102
Enjoy life mate. I wish I could enjoy life more. I play too much runescape, I know, but I don't get invited to go many places. Don't have too many friends and I go to such a small school that I can't really make many friends. So I just spend 90% of my free time playing rs. I always stop to do something when theyre is something else to do, but usually theyre isnt for me sadly :-({|= . Enjoy life mate :)

tefda
Here's something that I've vamped up to express my thoughts about people who were known and liked amongst the forum. Many of the "greats" have gone through their time here at Tip.it and many are gone forever, few return with consistency and even fewer ever return for good. But perhaps it's the natural order of things. One man grows too great even for a game such as Runescape and he moves on and has paved the way for new greats to take the place of our fallen and hopefully not forgotten heroes. But it is more so the idea of joining the ranks of primarily infamous players that attracts those wonderful dreamers to the race against all others in hopes of embracing his idol and then his equal. So alas, as more great men leave the game the dream of joining them fades away and all that is left is a cold shell of what once meant greatness and respect but is now being degraded as the status quo for those great men slips every day towards the mean of the "new generation" of players and their impersonalness and their lack of understanding of how one could play a game such as RSC. It was the community for goodness sake! We are nothing without noble men to lead the way towards proper actions and methods. I weep both for the Runescape now because of it's loss of great players from long ago with archaic lines of lineage and I weep for the future of Runescape as the ideal players mentality and thus actions and behaviour slips further and further down into an immature brat's own image. Most of the players on Tip.it will never attain a status such as these great people have. Unfortunately most of us are just another face in the world. Those few who have the chance of becoming great and well-known now have the chance to seize it. But what a loss! A part of great community leaves and we are left with an empty slot which will be filled by someone who is not as grand, who is not as witty or wise. It is a slow slippery climb to the top of this social ranking but as each seat is left open a chisel vandalizes the throne that once occupied a good person. I do not blame the person who quits, I blame no one. It is simply the way that things have happend. The game has gotten larger and attracts a "lesser" audience and so the average player which eventually becomes the "great" player is still that simplistic average. There are only a few people, years down the line, who will discover this game and still be able to achieve the same greatness as our modern day leaders with the same intelligence and skill that our own posses, but they will be few and far between and belong (if not by name, by heart) to a group of few who still adhere to the older and greater ways of the past. To them I salute and to the latest person to fall to Reaper's digital-scythe I say godspeed and remember what you had here because many others will still remember you. Good luck out there man, it can be a scary as hell world so remember your lessons learned in Runescape and remember us too  .

I have lots of friends I can make on here but I don't really know many people outside of rs nor where to meet them. TV is just a bunch of old reruns of the same show. I only watch South Park . Mirror
Man Tefda, I think that writing brought tears to my eyes. That is a really great way in saying how those that are great now will have to move on and those who will take their place are probally right now reading this. I will salute the fallen and the falling for the wisdom they gave was great, their laugh was enjoyable, and their presance was known. Amen brother, Amen. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

I was just giving an alternative to playing rs since too much of one thing is never good. Since I'm apparently you're new counselor  , I'll give it another shot. You could get a job. Mirror
This is what I hate!!!!! Stop argueing with each other on what to do or not to do instead of Runescape. This deserves to be in pm's and not someone's going away address. You two should feel sorry for yourselves for hijacking this thread for your own arguement. I am sorry -Peronix-, it had to be said. Peronix
Indeed. I was quite touched by that - especially since I was found worthy enough for such a statement. I really had no idea people appreciated my posts that much. However, since it's really the game that bores and frustrates me - not browsing the forums (which is what I usually spend a lot of time doing anyway) I think i'll pop in at least a few times weekly to check out what's going on in the RuneScape world. Although I can't be bothered to do anything in RuneScape anymore, things within it are still of interest to me. I especially enjoy things like the tip.it newsletter: Duke Freedom is one knowledgable guy, and although I've never had any kind of a hold on the rares market I still find myself enlightened by what he has to say - about economics, that is. Well sorry to see you go Peronix, gosh for some reason alot of people are quitting now. Well the one thing I see ironic is the disk of returning. Eh get it, returning, but you probally already knew that. Yeah, I get it  But the fact that I chose the Disk of Returning is pure cooincidence. I chose that one because it is the best rare I could afford with the money I got from my big items. And, to the argument about TV, well I don't watch much of it anyway because it's 10x more boring than RuneScape usually. If somthing is on that interests me, I'll watch it, but I won't sit there like a bump and watch it all day.
