ok pures are rather limited in what they can wear or wield. as a pure (defence noob pure 8-[ ) i have 1 prayer.......but i want to do certain things which need prayer like barrows, firecape or kq.

 

basically what should i do??? get prayer for the stuff i mentioned or stay pure and reap the benefits of staking??

 

 

 

also discuss what it means to be pure and whether there any point in it as sooner or later all pures become mains :P once they realise they get owned at mb :roll:

I would... Stay pure untill you have enough money, and skills (Range) Cough cough to go for Fire Cape, Barrows, etc. \

That mainly depends on if you are a F2P pure or P2P.

 

 

 

I had a pure that I just made for fun on F2P. After I had 40 Attack, 50 Strength, and 45 mage, I did dragon slayer, forgetting that it gave Defense experience as a reward. I had 34 Defense or something like that after the quest. I was so mad, I gave that account away. It just sort of spoiled the weeks of work I put into making that account. Feel free to become un-pure, but you may regret it later.

 

 

 

EDIT: Interesting note, since I only had 1 Defense, i actually had to go and kill Elvarg most of the way, teleport, restock on food, then go back and finish her off.

drag slayer at 1 defence i did 2 :P just get 40range for d hides chaps and cast fire bolt :P

 

 

 

btw im not talking about getting defence here....defence is my highest skill even more than attack :P mainly prayer

Nevermind. Well if you're a pure Defense ... well then, that's useless.

not really???? have you heard of tank stakers or tank pkers (much less pkers)

Well, its basically like you said, do you want to keep good staking stats?

 

or do you want to get a fire cape, do barrows, go to KQ, do more quests....stuff like that?

 

 

 

Most people with pures liek that have a main too, so they are content with their pure not being able to do certain things.

 

 

 

 

 

Getting 40 prayer will give u 4 combat or so...thats kinda a lot when it comes to staking stats...like 4 more att, def, and hits or something...

 

 

 

How long did it take you to make this char and if u got prayer and still wanted to be a good staker, how long would it take you to make a similar one for staking? Then you would be able to get stregnth lvls on this one...

I would train str to 85, get prayer to 52+ and be a normal player, man its so much more fun!

Use your main for those fun stuff, and use the pure for pking/staking.

Just stake till you have reached a certain money goal (in your case I would go for a phat), and then get prayer and strength up.

i think ill just prayer straight away staking isnt fun really.....

 

 

 

look at my sig for stats 80 60 80.....i havent met 1 single person my level with stats to match at my level for armour on melee

 

thats why no one will stake me apart from 100+ and naturally i decline those offers
