June 19, 200620 yr I have designed the ultimate house, and have decided to put the highest leveled items in each spot of my at great expense to me. However, I had planned to eventually place a marble spiral in my entry way to link my main floor to my quest room. However, I have installed a spiral in my skill hall to see how it looks and was shocked to see I had to build 2 of them 1 on my main floor and 1 in the quest hall above it. It also seems rather buggy. If on the top level the spiral still goes up and has an option to climb th staircase. In my opinion you should have only had to build the one linking the first floor to the upper level. Since I am not linking 3 floors is there really any point to putting a marble or regular spiral to link just 2 floors? Or would I be better off just putting a marble Staircase at 82 and not have to deal with a buggy and expensive marble spiral. This is a discussion to help people planning their homes and to inform people that you have to build a spiral on each floor and is why I'm posting it here. My layout is perfect for kq...go upstairs pray than go to next toom and free tele to al kharid. This isn't a rate this thread or anything. Im not changing my layout. June 19, 200620 yr i have NO idea how you can call that ultimate but if you're not connecting 3 floors stick with normal for the time being, spiral up and down with not both is VERY annoying

June 19, 200620 yr If you don't want 3 floors I'd go with regular. A spiral would confuse guests. Spiral is a hastle, you have to choose up or down, regular you just click the stairs. If you do spiral with no downstairs it doesn't get rid of the climb down option. It's a bit buggy.
