Pure Help

Featured Replies

Im new to the game but I always try to make myself the best I can in any game. So I guess i'll work on getting my guy to be a pure so I can PK in the future. Here are my stats

ATTACK - 13

STRENGTH - 12

DEFENSE - 1

RANGE - 2

PRAYER - 10

MAGIC - 6

HIT - 15

I was thinking a melee/range would be kinda cool. With 25 prayer to save an item. Im a total newb so I need to know what would be good, what to equip, where to train etc. But mostly I wanna know what I should do with my stats.

Thanks

get ur str to 50+ and atk to 40 and 25 mage for varrock tele and so high range lvl as possible

Is it ok that my prayer/magic might be lvled up a bit even though its not needed? I dont wanna start over after I just got 40 fishing and cooking.

its ok to get mage over 25 but i wouldnt recommend to get prayer over 25 and it isnt really so good to get it up at 25 either

Well, since you want to hybrid-Range/Melee,you shouldn't have raised your prayer.Hybrid's normally dont have prayer but some do.As you already have some prayer I'd say get it to 31 cause 25 isn't worth it.

As far as magic is concerned theres no problem in getting it up.

As for stats I'd say:

Attack-40

Str-65 or so

Range-70

HP-??

Prayer-Since your already 10,let it be that way or get 31(not sure abt this).

Magic-Depends on you if you have any use for it.Maybe get enough to do blasts or something.

If you want more details maybe check this guide:

Thanks to WithTheQuickness for the sig!

Unless you want extra hitpoints (some do, some don't, at 4 more "life" per extra combat level) train magic using confuse / weaken / curse.

Even if you don't actually use magic in attack, the level contributes some resistance to magic.

The stock melee + range pure would have:

40 attack / Rune wep

max strength - use strength potions for temporary boost.

Range (not exceeding 2/3 of A+S total): 20 and use studded legs, 40 and use green dragonhide chaps & vambs.

The rest would be full Iron (melee), or leather (ranged practice or meleeing against mage).

Prayer: It depends - protect item can save you the price of a rune weapon replacement, but means carrying an extra 3 combat levels.

just to point out - jagex decided for RS2 (current runescape) that defence would be defnce for all skills - magic no longer increases magic defence, and all skills have the ability of training defence - so don't think that high mage = high mage def

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

I could have sworn.. After I trained mage on my pure I seemed to be more effective against mages
