June 26, 200620 yr Basically, there was a person back in 2002 (I cant understand if he was just a player or a jagex team member) who wanted to redesign the graphics for RSC. Basically the foundations of what Jagex was working on: RS2. So, these are some pictures of what a more 3-dimensional runescape would look like, in his eyes. This is Falador. In my opinion, this is much better than RS2. Of course, RS2 might have more advanced characters (not sprites) yet this is pretty good too. The actual sky looks good, and the smoke looks nice too. You can see through windows, as well. I'd rather play ths kind of RS than RS2 at the moment. (No, do not spam saying RS3)
June 26, 200620 yr I think that does look better, although I don't think it would be possible with the way it is already run with Java. Running it with something else would make it a lot harder to play because java is browser based and that makes it a lot more accesible. (Kind of rambling here about what I've read and gathered from previous topics about the imagery of runescape.)
June 26, 200620 yr these graphics > rs2 they look so cool Dragon drops - 2 visage drops- 1barrow drops - 5
June 26, 200620 yr you can make graphics like this in Java... i know cuz i've done it.. the only problem is that to do the entire world in graphics like that would take a sizeable amount of memory, and since it is browser based, you'd have to load it every time you played the game, and it would take a lot longer to load. Always selling amulets of strength 3k ea
June 26, 200620 yr I remember that, theres also another screenshot that had the entire F2P area from a birds eye view in those graphics. 123 Combat / 1900 Skill Total / 99 HP / 7x 99 Stats
June 26, 200620 yr the first time i treid high def i stopped in 2 secs, the roofs are really annoying, the twigs and cracks are distracting and useless, and there is sound on low def now anyway.........
June 26, 200620 yr I don't want to be the "party-ruiner", but there's nothing special about that. That are just the RSC graphics in 3D. The houses are the same, and everything is on the exact same place. Like said before, it's almost impossible to run that with a simple JAVA.
