July 3, 200619 yr I have an idea that will halt macroing for awhile, but will not stop it completely. It will only be temporary like sleeping was in RSC when you had to type in the letters. (Autoers soon found out how to program to get by that). When you log in you have to enter a code like on some forums when you log in. It will be like K38jI38 or something like that. Now your thinking. Hmm that's alot like the sleeping word technique. This is how it's differen't. To enter the code, instead of typing it, you would enter it like a bank pin, with the numbers and letters in different spots and never in any order so autoers would have trouble doing that. They can't stay logged in forever. Now and then they have to lag out or take a break or something then it would be a hassle for them to keep checking their bots to see if their logged in. Tell me what you think.
July 3, 200619 yr this would be too annoying for regular non macroing players to have to do. otherwise this would work
July 3, 200619 yr I guess I wouldn't really mind it if the were like 4-6 characters to enter. But yes after a while it would get pretty annoying to have to enter it everytime. You have the right, and people have the right to hate you for it.Thus, the circle of life is complete.Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
July 4, 200619 yr Or you can just enter it once every two hours or something. This would be worse, not better. It means not only would you have to enter it when you logged on, but, if you stayed on for more than 2 hours, a second time to stay on, and possibly a third, and maybe even a fourth (And for some people possibly even a fifth, sixth and even seventh  ) Add your blog to the BlogScape Index!SaidinWoT can now be tracked easily on weekends - Erm, maybe when I start playing again.Levels do not measure intelligence OR maturity.

But yeah this is a bad idea but good try =D>
July 4, 200619 yr Use a bit of logic here. Why the hell would I suggest entering it whilst in-game? If you play for 14 hours straight, you don't take the test 7 times, you take it once as long as you keep yourself logged in. If you log out within two hours, you don't need to enter it, but if you log out after the 2 hour grace period, you will need to take the test again. I am a tree.
July 5, 200619 yr Couldnt an autoer simply enter the code when they logged in, then leave it to play. I really doubt this will stop autoers for more than a day. 90 Combat 1900+ Total99 Crafting 99 Cooking 99 Firemaking99 Herblore 99 Fletching 98 Farming
July 5, 200619 yr OCR's are what bypassed it in RSC, it'll work the same way except by clicking, failed.
July 5, 200619 yr Some auto programs have text recognition. You can even make your own fonts. All a macroer would have to do is get the text at the area and then find and click the bitmaps of the letters one by one. ~ Est 10 mins to circumvent, max. Scar Scripter
