So I pretty much suck at maintaining activity on these forums after losing my interest in the game. However, I have finally updated the index. I will try to update it at least once a month, and I am also trying to get a new, better caretaker for this thread. -Saidin cerberus700, your link doesn't actually lead anywhere. So I finally bought Rock Band 2... used the Unlock All cheat because I'm currently too lazy to do career. FCs thus far: #1 Master Exploder - 12th - 202,586 - The third solo was mildly annoying, but easy enough overall #2 Spoonman - 20th - 163,286 - Sightread FCed, then played it once more and reFCed for a higher score - I have not yet missed a note in this song ;) . #3 Ace of Spades '08 - 11th - 132,314 - FCed and ReFCed twice for better score, first FC was 132,076, second was 132,062. Currently playing around with Panic Attack - so far my best is 99%, need to practice the solo.

Caprici Di Diablo is a fun chart :) 95% - 247k - 4th on RB1 I do plan to get RB2... maybe... probably... maybe.

Haven't posted here in a while because I haven't played in a while. Did a few random runs of DWDTG H yesterday. Best run had a VSR FC, but I missed the SP in both VSB and VSE, so I missed out on an entire activation. Aside from those misses, I missed in DSB on the triplets, Chorus 1, and I somehow screwed up in measures 213 and 214. The score was 675k, my best is 681k, so if I could do that again without missing the SP, that would be great. Also related to DWDTG - 655k on expert on a random PFO - first time I had played it in a few months. It was nice :

So I finally played some World Tour on the copy I borrowed from a friend. 24 FCs thus far (tiers 1-6 [except No Sleep Till Brooklyn...] and tier 8). I took pics of every FC, but I haven't uploaded any of them because I don't really see the point. Notable ranks: About A Girl (Unplugged) - 2nd/2nd - Good reverse ticking, could've had 1st but barely ticked the last activation You're Gonna Say Yeah! - 2nd/2nd - Could be 1st. All I'm going to say. Up Around The Bend - 2nd/2nd - Same thing ^ Freak On A Leash - 3rd/3rd - I don't particularly remember this very well, but I believe I missed some major squeezes. Misery Business - 2nd/2nd - Ticks away from 1st Tool Tier 1st/1st (for the tier, not each song, but each song below:) Parabola - 3rd/3rd - This makes me laugh, because Pas (who has 1st) thought he hit all the squeezes. I came in about 180 points below him with 3 missed squeezes. Schism - 1st/2nd - Some ticks. Boo hoo. Vicarious - 1st/1st - Got optimal on my first FC of it (which was my 3rd run of it ever). Sadly, it's not actually optimal, but the chances of anyone getting the extra squeeze are low. Hey Man, Nice Shot - 2nd/3rd - Barely missed a squeeze that would've gotten me first by 4 points Feel The Pain - 2nd/2nd - Missed a squeeze. Don't really care, it's not an interesting song... Everlong - 1st/1st - My second optimal of the game And something that should've been good, but wasn't: The Middle - 15th/19th - I had a run where I hit literally all of the squeezes on pman's path, which would've set me way ahead of 1st. I completely failed the solo that run. After that run, I didn't hit any of the squeezes again :(

[hide=Radio Song (1st/1st)] One run optimal :D[/hide] Last night I failed/choked plenty of attempted stuff, and I am completely capable of getting 1st on Before I Forget (3 choked 1st place-able runs), FCPREMIX (just need to get the squeezes on my FC run), and, as I have been for ages, Impulse (I just can't seem to get it :( ) Also attempted/going to keep attempting a few squeezes Lemon and I found in 3's & 7's... they're very difficult squeezes, so I haven't hit them yet, but they are technically possible.

Because I feel like posting again... two scores improved [hide=Barracuda (5th/9th)] I only hit the 1st squeeze... didn't expect top 20, nevermind top 10. I didn't even TRY for any squeezes besides the 1st >_> However I know that the 2nd is incredibly difficult.[/hide][hide=One (42nd/61st)] Finally passed without SP... decent FSB and FSD as well. Raining Blood is now the only song without a decent score in this tier (decent considering no tapping >_>)[/hide]

A new FC for me! Practiced Solo 1 a few times, didn't hit it all in any practice run, so I decided to try a real run just for the sake of it. Hit the solo that run, and hit everything else. Didn't try for any squeezes, but I've hit 3 of the 4 (and I actually did get the 2nd squeeze without really meaning to, it's basically not squeezing). So I might try for a ReFC later, but I'm happy with the score for now... [hide=NotB (12th/18th)][/hide] As for the other songs: CoP - I hit all the squeezes for optimal today, just need to do that and FC the solo. I miss in different places each run... it's annoying. NFMH - I can hit everything consistently, but I always mess up SOMETHING FCP - Haven't really tried it since the other day... just need more consistency TWIE - A number of -2s = me sad... I can FC past the part that used to give me trouble pretty much every run, and now it's just a matter of not making stupid mistakes beyond that RaBl, One, and TTFAF - LOL

DarkDude, I've had 70% in it and consistently get 63-67%, it's just that enough of those misses happen close together for it to fail me out. Best streak I know I've gotten was only enough for 2x multiplier, unless you're talking about the end of the solo... spamming frets randomly is somehow much harder than hitting somewhat slower phrases correctly >_> But yeah, I should have significantly less problems with it in GH:M...

Thanks to a -2(INSTUPIDSPOTSTHATAREN'TATALLDIFFICULT) run on TWIE, I am now the top ranked Florida player on Scorehero. Score was 617,800 I can FC it, darnit >_> Also FCed Aggro Part in a real run for the first time in a while... messed up elsewhere :(

I'm only 1.7k points from being (technically) the best player in my state. Of course, there are others who far outdo me in skill, but score-wise, I will reign supreme! I should've passed Vertiggo just now, but I cannot break 600k on One >_> I think to do so would require passing without using SP in FSA, which I should technically be able to do, but FSA just makes no sense to my fingers. If I try to anchor, I will instinctively do descending triplets, even though I consciously realize that they are ascending... I've watched myself play it, and somehow the middle note never gets hit (for instance, in the RYB triplets, the Y never gets hit). It's annoying, and it means my score on that will be kept low until I learn to tap FSA, which will probably be never. In other news, I am semi-consistent at Aggro Part in FCPREMIX, the only thing that was keeping me from the FC. Now all I have to do is hit it in a real run. Somehow I play differently with SP activated, and that is an SP activation, so my consistency in practice mode is much higher than in real runs. This also goes for Mosh 1 in Raining Blood, where I have 3 FCs in practice (and many high percentages) while I screw up when in the middle of SP there. It's not even when I activate - that part is fine... it's a few seconds into the activation. Apparently my brain doesn't like handling shiny blue notes. This is why my Raining Blood score never improves - with what I can hit in practice mode, I should actually have around 340k at the moment. So all things considered, I'm exceptionally close to FCing: Cult of Personality (been close for months... I always mess up one part, and it's always a different part from the previous run) FCPREMIX Nothing for me Here (This song gives me undue trouble - I'm consistent at all of it, but will randomly not be able to hit certain parts after hitting identical parts earlier in the song) The Way It Ends and arguably Number of the Beast, where only Solo 1 gives me problems... I've FCed it many many times in the past, but I can never get it in a real run. I hate being close to FCs and not having them :(

Just a depressing (yet positive) thing today... The Way It Ends -2 Clearly I am capable of FCing it, but -2 is painfully close for not having succeeded. The 1st miss was in the only section of the strumming that consistently gives me problems (the R->Y->RYB in measure 51 - I hit this about half of my runs), the 2nd in a completely random part in the solo. FC hopefully soon...

My PC currently has no internet, so I'm not uploading the pic yet, but I FCed Don't Hold Back on a random run of it (first try of the evening, I believe) for 3rd/6th - score of 335,834 (tied with iamchris4life). I barely missed an extra 200, so I may test my luck and try for another FC to get a better rank :D Edit: [hide=Don't Hold Back (3rd/6th)][/hide][hide=Pride and Joy (4th/7th)] Only missing one squeeze. This score put me in 1st for the tier for Xbox 360, 3rd for all systems (behind APE and Undead :shock: )[/hide] Also got a Prayer of the Refugee optimal squeeze run, but choked, so :(

Two minor updates: [hide=Rock and Roll all Nite (4th/5th)] I was not trying for 1st on this (I wasn't using the right path for it if I was). I did this because it got me 1st for all systems for the tier (it's amazing what a good SomL score can do for you). I will probably try to improve this as well as work on the other songs to cement my lead.[/hide][hide=Black Sunshine (2nd/4th)] Not really interesting... I believe I could pull off another 200 points, which would get me 1st. I also can tick the 1st activation, which I failed to do this run (it's more luck than anything for that). This put me in 2nd/4th for the tier as well, so I'll probably be working on the songs in this tier as well.[/hide]

So tonight I decided to squeeze: [hide=Bulls on Parade (1st/1st)] I have played this twice in all of 2009 (both today). The run before this was 289,883. This is a tie for 1st.[/hide][hide=Story of my Life (1st/1st)] I managed to sit through this song. Many times. There's still 200 points left in there that I may go for eventually.[/hide][hide=Even Flow (1st/1st)] This is 1st by 228 points :) Also, 240 points over the score Bj0rn said was about 220 points away from optimal ;)[/hide][hide=Same Old Song And Dance (1st/1st)] One more tick than everyone else![/hide][hide=Anarchy in the UK (3rd/5th)] 27 points of improvement (glitched ticks are responsible for the improvement being an odd number), I believe I can do better.[/hide]

So the discussion about tapping the intro got me re-interested in learning a new way to tap it. My elbow-strum + non-fret-hand-on-green method is still the one that I can do most flexibly and consistently, but I just taught myself to tap the blue and orange notes. I strum and one-hand up until the first orange note, which is the first thing I tap, then tap every single blue and orange until the scales at the end. I just FCed the intro on full speed with that (started learning that tapping method about... an hour ago? I've been trying out other tapping methods during that time too, so it wasn't all spent on that). As for those other tapping methods: No tapping! = FC on Slow... but I've always been able to do that Tapping only oranges = I get confused because I'm too used to tapping both blues and oranges (even though I only just started that o.O) but I nearly FCed on Slow Chris' tapping method (alternating) = way too confusing... my best success with this was a 50 NS on Slowest >_> One-handed, releasing after every green = near FC on Slowest. Yeah, I was bored. Edit: Just FCed with the Blue/Orange tapping twice in a row... I know that's not exceptional, but considering I just learned it... Double Edit: FCed twice in a row, messed up on third attempt, then FCed three times in a row after that with the Blue/Orange tapping... I may be able to get that consistent enough to be usable in normal runs.

There are, of course, many many ways to tap the intro, but how I personally do it (and how GHPhenom does it - liektehpmgzitmustbtehbestz!!) is to hold green with my non-fretting hand, elbow-strum, and use my fretting hand to just quickly press and release each note. It's highly consistent and easy to do (I've had to restart from 'tapping' too quickly - quickly enough to be before the timing window started >_>)... in my opinion

Just got 700,510 on Revolution Deathsquad in a random PFO... I took a pic, but am too lazy to upload it at the moment. I made a lot of terribly stupid mistakes, so I could do a decent amount better.

runescapeloser, how do you have a Flood! FC and Afterlife Solo D FC and only just got TTFAF 5*? o.O Are you just that good at tapping/that bad at TTFAF, or am I missing something? >_< It would seem you are pretty good at tapping though, which means you'll be able to do plenty of stuff I probably never will - I've never really mastered tapping that wasn't at the beginning of a song, except in certain trills that I could one-hand but am too lazy to... Maybe it's a coordination issue. Anyways, a few weeks ago I bought myself a nice 1080p 22" monitor for my computer, and just this week I bought a new Xbox and the HDMI cable. GH has never looked so wonderful before. Still adjusting to the size change for Halo, but it seems that monitor size and aspect ratio barely affects me in GH. Either way, I haven't played in a few days.
