darthyboyd
I currently have a mystic mud staff and 105k of body runes(curse) which will get me 85 mage. I was wondering could anyone preferrably with this sort of experiences tell me the best place to train and roughly how long it would take to cast 1k of curses at one time. thank you very much! kwimbob
My favorite place to cast it is on ducks in the fishing guild. There are people to listen to and it is a good spot. Turn auto-retaliate off and then walk up to the edge of the dock and curse a duck. The duck will be attacking you constantly which will make it so that no one can kill it and it can't hurt you because it's just a duck and you're in full melee armor. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]
ValaraZ
... it can't hurt you because it's just a duck ... Don't underestimate the power of ducks! I would go to port sarim jail but hey, i have emotional attachments to that place. Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant: "If I live, I will kill you, If I Die, you are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor. Goobore
I was wondering could anyone preferrably with this sort of experiences tell me the best place to train Almost anywhere will work. I suggest a multicombat location so that you will always have a target. You could cast from the key room in the Varrock sewers, or the white knight screen room, or the caged lesser in the wizzy tower. Lots of places will work. ...and roughly how long it would take to cast 1k of curses at one time.. Hmmm, I'm thinking around 30 minutes. That would be 1.8 seconds per cast. You can click faster then the Curse animation so you can't get too far ahead in clicking on your targets. You can always test it yourself easy enough. Goobore
... what happens once u curse them all? Well, any monster that you Curse will try to attack you. But the idea is to fail when you start Cursing. You will always get the full 29 mage exp for each cast no matter what. Failing a Curse lets you cast again on the same monster. You fail by wearing a full set of any metal armor, (Helm, chest, legs, and shield), that has a magic attack bonus of -65. If you include green dragonhide (or better) vambraces then you can also use an elemental staff.

nightshade53
A high lvled monster would be better to do it on anyway, seeing as they would naturally have higher def (mage def). Finding a safespot in a place where nobody will go is the key.
d3vilbro
Can you auto cast with the Mud Staff? Also how much did yu buy the staff for? I_Xpk3r_I: Future Mayhem Maker

nightshade53
Hmmm.. I remember doing this a while ago. I was f2p so i used a water staff, full iron (i was pure), d vamps, earths and bodies. I did it on the caged lesser in the wizard tower. Looking back that was a rubbish place to do it, as other people kept killing it :-s Hmmm... Ape atol? On thoses lvl 167 monkey guards. Protect from melee, there is an altar right next to em.. Would fail like every time, but if your prayer ran out and out didn't notice you'd be dead in no time.. d3vilbro
Ducks in the Fishing Guild sound perfect, if you don't have a high enough Fishing Lvl you could do it on Chicken's, Men, Barbarians, Minotaurs etc, basically anything that will never hit through your armour...
