A better way to get cash than runecrafting, AND WITH A SKILL

Featured Replies

SORRY GUYS, BUT MY THREAD CONTAINED SOME MISTAKES, AND I NOTED THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE AS MUCH PROFITE WITH RUNECRAFTING THAN WITH FLETCHING..

ILL SOON MAKE ANOTHER THREAD, WITH IS BETTER, I JUST UPDATE IT

Did you take in account how long it takes to buy the items, how when you string you have to strangle your arm for 2 hours, how selling takes more time, an trust me stringging 2.5k bows an hour is not easy.

+ Runecrafting is more fun, using abyss running from pkers, teleing so they waste runes, its a hell of alot of fun

Not wanting to burst your bubble, but I'm already making 360k pure profit an hour abbyss runecrafting at lvl 66. With some simple math, I figure I will be able to make 450k+ an hour at lvl 75.

Add to that the fact that you didn't take into account the time spent looking for supplies to buy (I won't talk about the time to sell the bows because I also spend some selling my runes) and I'd say your method is strictly slower.

Of course it has advantages, there's no risk of dying and losing some cash. However, it's also much more boring than making nats and also very taxing on your fingers.

Still, very nice guide, nice figures there. I'll certainly try this method sometime in the future.

first: its not hard to string 2.5k per hour, just put private, public and trade off, and then just string, i dont have to string as fast as possible to get the 2.5k strung

and believe me: ive strung 120k yew long, so i can know it!

second: its true it takes some time to buy the supplies and sell the yew longs, but rcers also hae to buy pure ess and sell their nats.

if you are rich you can also buy supplies in huge amounts so you dont have to sell and buy new supplies in a while, so you can string for hours and hours..

sorry, but thats a lie. i am 72 runecrafting and have used the abbys for ages to make nats..

now there are pure ess, worth 100 ea, and I could make 1250 per hour if i tried on my fastest, nats are 300 ea, so thats 1250x300 = 375k minus 1250 x 100 ( the pure ess ) = 125k, so 375k minus 125 of the ess is only 250k per hour, so its a lie, you cant make 350k profite per hour with runecrafting under lvl 99 or 75

I make 1500 nats an hour on my fastest, always running with super energies (i make myself). I'll prove it any time.

And nats aren't 300 each anymore, that's why I said I go sell them. I sell mine at 340 each, and I'm never left with any unsold.

Math time: 1.5k * 340 = 510k, minus 150k is 360k.

I dare you to call me a liar again.

Sorry but I agree with Genju.

I am RC 78 and I am miking much more money:

Profit: Nats are sold easily for 320 while essence s are like 110, so a profit of 210 per nats.

Quantity: I RC 53 nats per 100 seconds on average (usually 54 but as I need to repair Giant pouch and chareg my glories, I deduct 1 for the average. So that is 36*53 nats per hour so 1908 nats per hour

Total profit: 1908*210 = 410k/hour

this profit will also more thanh double as soon as you get the double nats.

profit will then be Nats profits is1908*2*(320-55) as 110/2

So 1.1Mio per hour

While cash earned in fletching will never change

in that case its nearly as good as what i did

I admit I haven't bought any pure essence for over a month, I bought 30k at 100 each and haven't spent it all yet. I didn't know it had gone up to 110. Hope it stops there. That certainly puts a dent on my profits.

And when you say nats are easily sold at 320, you surely mean VERY easily:p I usually dispose of mine in world 2 in a matter of minutes at 340 each. Posting an ad on forums selling for 320 is like an auto sale.

I totally agree with you on the development of the profits. Under level 75 the stringing is a better profit, but over 75 rc it's definitely worse, and when you get to 91 there's no comparison possible.

in that case its nearly as good as what i did

I never disputed that. You said your method is only comparable to 91, and that is where I think you went wrong. Your method is fairly better than under 75, but when you reach 75 RC it's already worse.

I hate fletching now since I spent almost 5 days constantley fletching and got 10k arrow shafts, I then posted all the offical forums selling and got a buyer in catherbey. Ah. At that time I hadnt done fishing contest quest and had to cross White wolf mountain. To cut a long story short, I lost 10k arrow shafts and my like of fletching. So no then.

unless you are highly addicted to fletching.. it gets boring... tried setting myself to do 10k yew longs... did like 2k then gave up :wall: :wall:

rc is more fun anyway, but still owns ya fingers at the end of the day..

in that case its nearly as good as what i did

Exactly. Your idea is pretty good, but it's only good for 5 levels (70-74) and even then, mining a couple thousand rune ess isn't hard and doesn't take as long as picking the same amount of flax or cutting the same amount of yews.

awesome_bloodvelds_siggeh.pngpossiblesig11.png

:^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.

Classic bloodveld for lyph3! Although I do like the new ones.

Like a ninja, here I was, gone I am now.

BUT! I may be back! Add my new account, Dr Bloodveld!

I averaged 1,7k natures an hour from 50-75 rc,

And natures are easily sold at 330-340gp each, that is 560k an hour..

EDIT, and you can't powerfletch more than a couple of hours a day, that would simply hurt to much in the fingers #-o

Mik2thekel.png

nowhere near as much cash as rcing. and even though yews make more cash magics are way faster exp

The one fact you are forgetting is this. If you sell them for 540 gp per piece, and many sell at 500. Does it take you longer to sell yours? If so you must also caculate that time into it. Say it takes you 20 minutes to sell them some of the time. Now if every 3 times it takes you an average of 20 minutes that means every 9 times you have actually spent 10 times doing it ;). Meaning subtract 54k from each of those. *If you said u make 540k an hour* or perhaps it is something close. I am not showing math just having you think your stupid little problems farther.

I do both :D

Just for xp in mage, rc, and fletching.

mug12se2.th.png
I bought the supplies for 2175 mil, and sold my yew longs for 3 mil. thats a profite of 825k in 2 hours!!! I STRUNG MY YEW LONGS IN 2 HOURS

Shouldn't that be 2175K of gp instead of Mil

Just a quick note, don't want to be mean

Wow you made around as much gp in one hour as you used exclamation marks in that post.

I used to do that also. Nice way of cash :)
