Woah! Are you using your POH for this? Because I'm getting like 70k an hour ectophiliating d bones. I guess you must be then. He has to be using gilded alter with butler unnoting drag bones. The servants refuse to unnote bones of any type. He either is using runners or more likely just teleporting back and forth (duel ring and house teleport). Or my way, using the Rimmington General Store! :D Or my way (which I haven't tried on bones yet, but it works for construction) using the Glory from the quest hall to tele to edge. I'm not sure which of the three is the fastest and the difference must be in the few seconds.

Lowest lvl with.....all quests completed?
genju24 replied to connmaster123's topic in General Discussion
I had all quests completed AND the Fire Cape at level 79 combat. And I'm sure there's lower than that. edit: btw, this was with 221 qps. -
Check your messages. If you have, there should be something there telling you.

The thing is my highest drain is always in Dharok's tomb, which is my first stop. I always get a drain of 10 in there, most of the times twice. And the face doesn't even show up. In all other tombs and in the tunnels I only get drained when the face shows up, but in Dharok's it seems to work different.

Can't be done. edit: Jad himself can be meleed, muggi has shown us that. But going pure melee all the way is impossible, you'd get owned by the 360s.
-
I have gotten two of them and both were easily completed: Goblins and Hill Giants. The xp rewards for them are laughable, however the banners themselves are reward enough for me. I've been trying to get the Imp and Lesser Demon scroll, but still nothing.

Zilch. I play this game for fun, not to be number one. I'm as competitive as the next guy and I also like raising my skills, but I have to earn it. However, as Kashi said, if being number one meant having all 99 skills, I'd pay all I own and then some. Because I know I could make it all back in a moment. However, if I wasn't allowed to keep anything I had earned when that month was over, then I wouldn't want it... at all.

Hehe, I was there on slayer assignment, so when it was over i left:) Nice to see a fellow Tip.Iter there though :D

I have both so money isn't an issue for me in this case. And I love the defender for training.
-
I didn't think of that, but I'm sure to try that to make my guilded altar. Saves me a lot of money going from 69 to 72. Take a bunch of spicy stews, some restores, and try until I have it, then jump of joy :)

See, that's the kind of work that would drive me mentally insane. How anyone can stand doing that in their free time, I'll never know -.- . i'm with you, I've done 1k alchs in a row twice in my RS life... and I vowed never to do it again. Magic is such a fun skill, why make it boring. High alchs and non-stop tele's to camelot are two things I'll never understand.

It took like 20 posts before the complete obvious was said Agree 100%. I made that point too in the first paragraph of my post above, fletching+alching is great to get mage xp, not as a moneymaker you can compare to fishing sharks. The complete obvious was said, but apparently ignored.
-
Yay! Someone agrees with me. Fishing sharks FTW!! :D Maybe there should be a race? Player A fletches/alches and Player B catches raw sharks. At the end of the day, see how how much Player A and B made. :-k There's no point in that race. You're mixing up stuff. On one hand you have magic and fletching xp, and on the other you have fishing xp. Fletching+alching isn't as efficient a moneymoker as plain fishing (on high levels, fishing sharks), that's absolutely true. But I'll take that challenge anytime if we do it my way (just stringing). Say we both start at 1 mill and see who gets faster to 2mill. Or who can make the most profit in an hour. There is no question who wins. And if you replace fletching with rcing through the abbyss, the gap will be even larger. As someone said above, bowstringing, picking flax and for me even cutting yews are jobs for newbs who don't have access to more profitable ways of moneymaking. Anyone who has those skills and does those tasks is in fact wasting time, and hence money. Once again we come to the issue of time. In the time you spend running pure essence I can be doing a much more profitable skill, one that allows me to buy that same ess and make a profit. Adding to that fact I'm actually getting xp, which is something you get 0 of when running. I have nothing against running (law, cosmic, nat, ess, etc), I did it myself when I was starting out, but it's something to be done only when you have no good moneymaking skills. edit: This is starting to sound a lot like an economics class. Where's Duke Freedom when you need him? edit2: I have nothing against people who woodcut a lot. I personally don't like it, but I respect people with high levels of it a lot. Just don't tell me that cutting yews is a great moneymaking way.

What are garden boots? Why don't I have them too? I've gotten 15 from a seed once or twice, my usual maximum is 12. 7,8 or 9 are common, 5 is minimum (with magic secateurs and super compost). It's totally random how many you get and it doesn't depend at all on the time you leave it there, I always leave them about 2 hours (unless I can't get online, of course) and the ammounts vary a lot. Nevermind my question above, I just found out what they are. I was worried there might be a usefull gardening tool I wasn't using :-s

IMPOSSIBLE to get Sceptre in lower Pyramid half?
genju24 replied to Ts_Stormrage's topic in General Discussion
LOL! Same thing happened to me. I thought I could be clever and hally the dragons instead. Got confused and had a couple of fireballs head straight towards me, I died in to hits from the fire. Lost all my best stuff, except my rune plate, dragon halberd and dragon long. Which also happened on the same day the metal dragons came out. Haha i hallyed them but i was smart and had dragon pots! Anyways i feel your pain, maybe try out karma? Like it seems to help me, i'm pretty lucky in rs but i give most the stuff i make away :D But if you guys wanna know the poor of all poor.... About a month ago i was doing a quest where i had to talk to this zammy mage - i had full sara with me so the zammy mage refused to talk to me. Now instead of banking i dropped the full sara on the ground, to pick up after the quick convo. At the end of the convo the mage teled me away! I teled back and made it just in time to see my helm get picked up by a newb. Without the shield you should still die. At least I did... went there all equipped, potted on anti fire and all, but forgot the shield because the day before I got my rune defender (only 600 tokens 8-) ), so I just wanted to try it out. Result: lost the defender, my Fire Cape and a bunch of other good stuff. I had a dose of anti fire just before I went into the room, he still hit me two 30s and a "dead". edit: all these stories are discouraging me from trying to get a sceptre. I'm happy with my camulet anyway... -
I don't get this kind of reasoning, i really don't. If you make 430 gp per bow but it takes you 5 minutes to make it (hypotethical, for the sake of argument), and I only make 100 gp per bow, but it takes me 1 minute to make it, do you think you had a bigger profit than me? I bet your fingers get tired from clicking to much? Wouldn't buying logs then fletching them into unstrung bows be better for your fingers? It would cut my profit in terms of time in half, as cutting logs into unstrungs is slow. About my fingers, well... they're fine. If they hurt I go do something else, lots of skills on RS, thankfully. Also, if I bought the logs I'd still have to string them, or not?

I like to value cash in RS in terms of time. With your approach you're just valuing liquid profit, which is kind of hard for me to understand, as all activities in RS CAN be profitable, only some are faster than others. I see fletching as very profitable because, for me, it is one of the fastest ways to make money. I just buy unstrung longs and bowstring and string away. Then I sell the finished longs. It is a fast way to make money and second only (in my opinion) to runecrafting nats through the abbyss. Both are much faster profit than fishing, although both require some investment. And what you call "hassle" I call fun. Fishing is very boring for me. I don't just play this game to level skills and make money. I play it to have fun. And for me, the thrill of rcing through the abbyss is good. Even stringing, with it's loads of clicking, is more fun than fishing. I personnally dislike high alching, so I don't do it often.

Not exactly accurate, but almost. Sound might actually save your life in Jad's first shot, if he is out of sight. If you start with range prayer, if he shoots with mage you can hear it and change in time. If he shoots range, you only hear when it's about to hit (no point in changing then as it won't do any good) but as I said if you start range praying you're fine. This is a lot of ifs, but it still is a help, as small as it may be. Also, this isn't new info and I don't think it warrants a thread of its own. There's several fight caves threads where you could find this, even if not in the first post.

In the jungle west of Brimhaven, around the house gate and dungeon entrance there are some. I usually kill one or two on my way to the dungeon.

i think he lost it in a house combat ring because he was wearin ring of life...got teled out..was poisoned...and died Of course, you realize the Ring of Life would tele him to Fally, then he would die in Fally, then respawn next to his Fire Cape  . Nevertheless I remember hearing a story of that happened to you Tro :| . Thing is... the Fire Cape doesn't drop on the floor, it simply disappears. Where you spawn is irrelevant. I know... -.- :o #-o  err yeah of course it does...thats why when I pk with It I simply glory back to edge and pick it up where I die... If it just dissappeared do you honestly think as many people that pk in it would really pk in it??? That's why I always thought people pking in it were crazy. Well, when I died with it on, when I got back there it wasn't there anymore. It was in the brimhaven dungeon so it took me a while to get there, but all (I think) of the stuff I dropped was still there. Unless it was the very first (or one of the) thing(s) to disappear, it didn't drop. I mean, no one could have picked it up, could they?

Collecting & Anti-Littering Guide - Over 700k items so far!
genju24 replied to RAHK's topic in General Discussion
Well, my collection is dwarfed by some of the numbers here, but I just started it recently. I also think it's pretty funny, as it's an item with 0 usefullness, yet can cost valuable resources. I collect gold rings \ At the moment I have 12, and I'll buy them for, huh... 10 gp each? If anyone ever felt the need to turn perfectly good gold bars into stupid rings (I hope not), I'll buy them. And if anyone happens to get have them dropped, I'd be happy to take that litter off your hands too :) -
I'm 84 combat level with 1482 total and all quests done. I think that's pretty good.

Lowest Possible Combat Level w/ Fire Cape
genju24 replied to muggiwhplar's topic in General Discussion
its impossible. You would get owned by the 360+ 2 90's Nah, they're a cinch to lure  Agreed that was pretty easy, that's one of my relaxing waves. 360+180+90+45+22+22, there's a luring challenge. With a tad of bad luck, it can get very very ugly. -
A better way to get cash than runecrafting, AND WITH A SKILL
genju24 replied to king_dharok's topic in General Discussion
sorry, but thats a lie. i am 72 runecrafting and have used the abbys for ages to make nats.. now there are pure ess, worth 100 ea, and I could make 1250 per hour if i tried on my fastest, nats are 300 ea, so thats 1250x300 = 375k minus 1250 x 100 ( the pure ess ) = 125k, so 375k minus 125 of the ess is only 250k per hour, so its a lie, you cant make 350k profite per hour with runecrafting under lvl 99 or 75 I make 1500 nats an hour on my fastest, always running with super energies (i make myself). I'll prove it any time. And nats aren't 300 each anymore, that's why I said I go sell them. I sell mine at 340 each, and I'm never left with any unsold. Math time: 1.5k * 340 = 510k, minus 150k is 360k. I dare you to call me a liar again. Sorry but I agree with Genju. I am RC 78 and I am miking much more money: Profit: Nats are sold easily for 320 while essence s are like 110, so a profit of 210 per nats. Quantity: I RC 53 nats per 100 seconds on average (usually 54 but as I need to repair Giant pouch and chareg my glories, I deduct 1 for the average. So that is 36*53 nats per hour so 1908 nats per hour Total profit: 1908*210 = 410k/hour this profit will also more thanh double as soon as you get the double nats. profit will then be Nats profits is1908*2*(320-55) as 110/2 So 1.1Mio per hour While cash earned in fletching will never change I admit I haven't bought any pure essence for over a month, I bought 30k at 100 each and haven't spent it all yet. I didn't know it had gone up to 110. Hope it stops there. That certainly puts a dent on my profits. And when you say nats are easily sold at 320, you surely mean VERY easily:p I usually dispose of mine in world 2 in a matter of minutes at 340 each. Posting an ad on forums selling for 320 is like an auto sale. I totally agree with you on the development of the profits. Under level 75 the stringing is a better profit, but over 75 rc it's definitely worse, and when you get to 91 there's no comparison possible. I never disputed that. You said your method is only comparable to 91, and that is where I think you went wrong. Your method is fairly better than under 75, but when you reach 75 RC it's already worse.
