  1. sorry, but thats a lie. i am 72 runecrafting and have used the abbys for ages to make nats.. now there are pure ess, worth 100 ea, and I could make 1250 per hour if i tried on my fastest, nats are 300 ea, so thats 1250x300 = 375k minus 1250 x 100 ( the pure ess ) = 125k, so 375k minus 125 of the ess is only 250k per hour, so its a lie, you cant make 350k profite per hour with runecrafting under lvl 99 or 75 I make 1500 nats an hour on my fastest, always running with super energies (i make myself). I'll prove it any time. And nats aren't 300 each anymore, that's why I said I go sell them. I sell mine at 340 each, and I'm never left with any unsold. Math time: 1.5k * 340 = 510k, minus 150k is 360k. I dare you to call me a liar again.
  2. Not wanting to burst your bubble, but I'm already making 360k pure profit an hour abbyss runecrafting at lvl 66. With some simple math, I figure I will be able to make 450k+ an hour at lvl 75. Add to that the fact that you didn't take into account the time spent looking for supplies to buy (I won't talk about the time to sell the bows because I also spend some selling my runes) and I'd say your method is strictly slower. Of course it has advantages, there's no risk of dying and losing some cash. However, it's also much more boring than making nats and also very taxing on your fingers. Still, very nice guide, nice figures there. I'll certainly try this method sometime in the future.
  3. You don't know for sure, it's random. General advice is to start with range, because you get a bit more early warning on the sound of the mage attack.
  4. I found the opposite. With a bit of skill you can avoid chance encounters with a 180 altogether. However, sometimes I couldn't avoid having to deal with 360s and 90s at once. Even if for a little while until I could get a favourable position. From most situations I could get them to come one at a time... but sometimes it was near impossible. Biggest nightmare: 360 and 90 both spawn in the center, with 360 east of the 90. Solution: run like hell to kill the 90 quickly while luring the other creatures behind the 360 or to the Italy rock. Happened to me three times in my final attempt.
  5. What is this? Pick on Tefda day  . Alright so you got me on the Mountain Tribe People, I did the quest the week it came out, that was a LONG time ago, can't always remember about places you hardly visit. I did mention how the Kendal was fake: "...weird guy and treated it as a god" and I know he had nothing to do with summoning at the time but in some games you generally summon a familiar/aid and they can be natural animals. I was just making a connection and "speculating". Lastly I'm not ignoring the fact that it was a matriach, I just think that few if any societies are ruled by women the only known one I can think of are the Amazonian women and they belong down south, not up north. I made another connection to Dragonlance because it's another fantasy work and Jagex likes to borrow/make parodies of other material. Tefda out :P . (Hopefully in about four and a half hours it will no longer be pick on Tefda day  ) I wasn't picking on you, trust me. If I was, you'd notice. You just used a few arguments in your reasoning that were unfounded, and I'm not very good at keeping my oppinions to myslef when I know they're true... my fault. On matriarchal societies, you're just pushing aside a lot of fantasy fiction as well as folklore by saying that. Think elves, for instance. Not all, but some. Even history. Trust me, there were some matriarchal societies even in Europe during and before the Dark Ages... there still are some in Asia. I think it has no bearing on what Jagex decides to put in their quests, and it's a bit off topic... but you certainly can't say that they didn't/don't exist.
  6. Did you see his pure video? And his "Whipped Jad" video? There are ways to isolate the healers from Jad. I know I did. Of course, you might want to save your prayer and super restores, but that's a different matter.
  7. Need 43 prayer for when you lure the 180 And for the healers, I'd say...
  8. Not everything is Final Fantasy based  . But I get what you're saying. I always wanted some Healing spells like the monks have and spells which would be boosts for you and team mates around you. I think though that those spells would only be used by the few Mage Pker's who go in groups and those who play in PvP mini-games. It still would be useful in those mini-games for me but the demographic is very narrow. Summoning is the new magic to be released. If one thing could point it out think back to the Kendal (the bear god). The Moon Clan worshipped that weird guy and treated it as a god. It was the first animal god we saw and I don't think it'll stop there. Also I'll bet that the Chieftan of the Moon Clan will be a man but his daughter will be ruling under his name because the father is unable to take command. Straight from Dragonlance there. Let's look at a big history of Runescape. We came from the South as the cities grew and they expanded the Human control of the world (South being warmer and whatnot). I'm guessing the Fremminek's and the Moon Clan were Nomads at the time but we know the Frem's became permanent residents and the Moon Clan STILL ARE nomads. Now from the Official History of Magicks of Runescape it was indeed a "man from the north" who discovered magic. This isn't the magic we know today. The Magic before Rune Stones was pure manipulation of Magical energies. They created Rune Stones (So that must mean the Rune Essence Mines was once in walking distance of a village or something like that) and the story doesn't mention creating the Rune Altars but it would have to be inferred that they did because otherwise they couldn't get novices to use the magic. I'll bet that beforehand, these Wizards were specialist wizards as we've seen today (By Malignus Mortifer, although they're not as powerful as the ones in the past) and could direct Magic Energies into the altar so that others could bind the power into the stones. Now the North is definetly where it all started so perhaps the new age magic (Seeing as Ancient Magic belongs to the Mahrajatt and is definetly not what the story speaks of) which required no Runes was up there and we'll get access to it in the near future. Whatever Jagex does I'm sure it will flow well into their already built storylines and I'd love to see a better explanation of Magic from the Kbase. I love reading official stories about the realm of Runescape and knowing more about the intricacies of the world (i.e. Magic, Gnome Politics, etc.). I think you have a number of facts wrong. For one we haven't had any contact with the Moon Clan yet. The tribe in the mountains isn't the Moon Clan, they're a part of the Fremennik tribe that split off. They're still Fremennik. I don't know what they call themselves (mountain people?), but it's not Moon Clan. The Moon Clan is disliked by both factions of the Fremennik tribe. Second of all, Kendal wasn't a god at all. He had nothing to do with summoning, he was simply a fake, a normal man wearing a bear head, pretending to be an animal god. He might have become a little animal like, but that's just because he went mad. Now, I think you're totally ignoring the "matriarchal" aspect that Jagex has said that the Moon Clan has, because you're mixing up all these things. I'm sure the Moon Clan will be ruled by a "matriarch". Of course that doesn't mean that all clan members must be male. On topic, I think that what will eventually be true has already been said here. Either it is some form of summoning "little helpers" to get small tasks done for you, or we can remove summoning altogether from the equation and it's just a list of helpfull spells. I agree they'll be like Ancient Magicks in that they replace your existing spell list. To me it seems a waste if Jagex introduces summoning in such a small way... they might do it, but it just seems it'll close many doors on future expansion of the summoning theme. I'm more inclined to a list of usefull and healing spells than anything summoning related. Time will tell.
  9. I'm level 118. I doubt if I ran through with addy and no prayer I'd have more than a quarter of my hp left... Absolutely true. First time I went up there, I was about level 60 on full rune and almost died, got really really lucky, survived on about 2 or 3 hps. Those throwers are that bad... they throw really fast and there's lots of them.
  10. Got mine today. Made the list :)
  11. Said it before and I'll say it again- Tele Arena really isn't that hard, it's the Alch Arena :x that gets me. Tele Arena is so simple- tele, read a Tipi.it/other post while grabbing, telegrab, read a post, cont until desired amount of points. Goes pretty fast, especially with music. The Alch Arena though, that just takes waaaayyy too much focus :? (other arenas are uber fast). I've only gotten a Mage's Book, B2P, and Infinity Boots at the arena though, so I'm no "expert". Also agree with you on the Fire Cape thing. With a decent amount of cash, good internet connection, and free time the guides around (especially Muggi's :D ) make it extremely simple. Now doing it on a pure/ low lvl, that takes guts. Anyways, I'd post something to add to the thread, but I'd just be repeating everyone here :? . I totally disagree, tele arena is by far the most boring... it's just so damned slow! Even if the others require more concentration, at least you see results faster! I'm not such an expert either, all I got from it is Bones to Peaches, but still... agh, I hate the tele arena! On topic, I'd say I agree with all the achievements that AllBogs listed, but I'd add three more, two that are community related: 8: Becoming number one in any one skill. 9: Earning a good reputation and some recognition in a large RS community (such as Tip.It) through being a generally nice person, helping others and spreading the fun to people who you meet. 10: Contributing to the community either by developing usefull guides, managing good forums or good websites (what do you know, Tip.It again)
  12. I had an easy time too... since I did the whole quest very quickly he was around the Rimmington mine every time.
  13. When you were f2p?!? #-o no the part where I described something was members... Tzahar is members only as far as I know, as is the bullseyes lantern and every place you need it. Accidentally I only died once, was fishing in shilo (afking a bit, stupidly) and a river troll killed me. I lost the black cav I always wear to a lvl 50. I tried to get it back, but in retrospect I shouldn't. It's totally my fault. From that day on I always use sound, especially if I'm doing something repetitive and browsing forums or otherwise multi-tasking. Not accidentally I've died 3 times in Fight Caves, a bunch of times in Castle Wars and even twice in Pest Control. I didn't mean to die, but nothing bad came from it.
  14. Your an idiot. And then some... I truly do think that everyone should take every step in protecting themselves online, whether RS related or not. Install anti-virus software, use a firewall, scan you computer with anti-adware programs frequently, switch from IE to a safer browser etc. Also take care on what RS related sites you access. That way the chances of being hacked are greatly reduced. But no one is 100% safe. And calling people stupid instead of offering constructive help or even criticism is childish, at least. I wouldn't want anyone to get hacked... but you (Chavous) are very close to the line.
  15. The best definition I know for a noob is: an experienced player that acts like a newbie. For me there's a big difference between a newb and a noob. A newb doesn't know better... a noob should.
  16. I'm happy that I still feel that way. There's still so much I want to do, to explore. Now I'm keen on getting a Fire Cape, maybe after that I'll go for the Chompy Hunting top prize, then some other mini-game. I want to be a 99 slayer, be a specialist on how to kill every beast in RS :) I want to smith rune, be able to make all potions, cast Ice Barrage  I'm over 1450 overall and there's still so much in the game, I don't feel like the fun is over for me :) And when I get bored, I just go do something else. Someone wise once said that being bored is always our fault.
  17. Higher magic level doesn't increase accuracy... it's the gear you have on that does. It's the same thing for ranged. I don't know about magic, as I'm no mage, but I'm a level 98 ranger, who never used cannon (so all my xp comes from actual shooting, so I know how it works), and who is getting 99 this week, and I can tell you your wrong, Moopy. I say that with all due respect, you're a good poster Moopy, but that's completely off track :P Just look at a level 70 ranger in full black d hide, robin, ranger boots, glory and a level 99 ranger, same gear, potted, and admire the immense 0 collection that the first ranger will have against full melee barrow, while the 99 potted will hit pretty good ;) If you don't believe me, I'll be more than happy to demonstrate you in game, my RSN is True_Cabbage How is he off track your the one talking about ranged when the disscusion is on ancient magicks. Check out the bolded part. And I agree with tetrak, but in regards to magic. In my experience, higher magic does make you hit more often, not just the magic attack bonus you're wearing.
  18. You may not be asking for advice, but you certainly are asking for help.
  19. Who would find being called a fool offencive? People 13+ years of age usually have some form of maturity... People over 13 years of age do not have to resort to calling someone idiot or fool to prove their point. It's not a matter of whether the names are offensive or not. It's whether you're polite or not. Whether it's offensive is irrelevant. Flaming is flaming. Just behave like you actually were older than 13 and you'll be fine.
  20. Chemistry. I can't think of any totally new combat related skills, everything seems covered. But with a bit of mix and match, picking some random stuff from quests and gathering it together this could work. You'de able to make offensive weapons of the explosive kind and maybe something else, for instance area afecting poisons or diseases and the like. The skill could have tie-in a with construction: a better lab would allow for better research, hence better products. Range would also be a possible connection, as your throwing skill would be relevant on whether you'd hit your target or not. I think it could be easily separated form Herblore if it was implemented right. There, you wanted different ideas, that's mine. Happy, crackers?
  21. 13 males : 1 female : 1 lady killer
  22. World 9 seemed to fill not because of being the official Tip.It world, but because of the increase of players the game had. It lead to an increase on people trading and to a skewed increase in worlds 6 and 9, turning them into almost world 2 copies. Of course, this is just theory and maybe it really was the fact that world 9 was our official world that filled it. Who knows? But I say it wouldn't hurt that much to try and prove either theory wrong. Move the world, if it gets filled up we lose nothing, if it doesn't, we win.
  23. I was gonna ask nicely, just wanted to go in with a decent amount of people so ya'll can actually see that the community supports it. How about changing the title to "Discussion" instead of "Petition"? Get more mods involved in this :) What are you talking about? We're not asking for a private world, or anything like that... Actually I've had some HYT's on 69 too, I think it's a pretty good choice. 99 would be cool too, but there's a fast growing crafting company there and it could fill up quickly too.
  24. If you're talking about this sentence I think it means that there is another non-boss monster that's stronger than the Steel Dragon in the Fight Caves (which would be the 360s), not that there is a Steel Dragon there. It's a matter of interpretation. Anyway, the guide is not bad, but truthfully I don't find it good enough to compare to the ones in the Archive of Wisdom. Maybe with a bit more work...
  25. I don't think so, as lots of people on world 9 use it to merchant. It's similar to world 6 to me. However, I'm starting to think world 99 is a bad idea. There's a Free Law Crafting Company operating there. With added traffic from Tip.It, wouldn't that get crowded fast too? I still think that the official world should change, I just don't think 99 will be better.
