July 29, 200619 yr I just made about five sigs for myself using the GIMP, GNU Image Manipulation Program. My question is, am I the only one who uses it and didn't shell out for/pirate Photoshop? I've seen all sorts of Photoshop tutorials hanging around (as well as ones for Paint for pixel sigs) but absolutely nothing lately for the GIMP. Just FYI if you want to start doing graphics work it's a wonderful program to use without having to pay money. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"

July 29, 200619 yr I used it before I downloaded the PhotoShop free trial. I got 8 days left on the trial and then I'm back to GIMP...

July 29, 200619 yr I downloaded the GIMP a few weeks a go and realised it was no where near as good as PSP, however it does have things which PSP doesn't so sometimes a transfer pieces of work between the two. -Bloodangel "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale."
July 29, 200619 yr PS7 is only $40 and lots of people still use it, but personally i've never used gimp because i have CS2. TheDark or Kevinnv on other forums.
July 29, 200619 yr yeah i have a mac and for some reason when i download it it says i need a certain file to use it that came with the mac? I've reinstalled the mac os but it still says the same thing. I feel like im being gyped since i work with 3d programs a lot and was hoping to use gimp for uv mapping.
