How is full rune 200k?

Featured Replies

I'm level 76, stopped playing for about 2 years and a half, started again a few days ago.

When I left (shortly after the release of RS2) Rune full was worth about 150k with rune plate being 60k, legs 55k and great helm 35k.

Can someone please explain how the price has jumped by 50?

and santa was only 120k when i left, its now 18 mil. is this down to people raising the price or are they rarer now? plox

Merching, people buy rune sets seperately and sell them for 200k to make a profit. some people buy rune as a set to save time.

Don't be afraid your life will end, be afraid it will never begin.

I'm in a similar boat as you Muska, though i'm kind of happy about it because I had some rares stashed away that are worth some nice amounts now ;)

The only downfall is that the game playerbase hasn't matured, but merely gotten younger.. it's fun talking to some of the new people who think just because I'm not sporting a full set of the new rune items that i'm a noob :)

the amount of low levelers asking me how to get them

well actually, full rune back then did not include kites because kites were so rare. these days, kites are cheap and cost about 50k, which brings the price of full rune to 190-200k :)

Suply and demand. Theres more ppl that wants them now and not everyone can produce them so the ones that can sell for more. Just like in real life. But I dont think this thread belongs here either, so yeah.

I know exactly what you guys mean. I quit once before the RS2 release and twice after the release. Somewhere around 2003 I believe so I also still have scythe and bunny ears and all these people come up to me and are like "i by ur wepn for 10k" "No thanks" "noob" =_=.

It's too bad though that I dropped all my stuff after I quit each time - stuff like mask sets which are now worth in the millions!

Back in my day, you could buy 2 red hats for 150k each. I actually remember trading away my green mask (after one my quits) for like 200k only to find out it's worth 2mil (and now I hear it's worth like 17mil?!).

And wow santa hats - 21mil?!?! I was there when about 3/4 hats spawned near me (sadly I did not manage to get even 1) but then traded a diamond ammy for 1. But come on, 21mil?!!?

I...stopped playing for about 2 years and a half, started again a few days ago.

You pretty much answered your own question. Things change a lot in 2 years.

Also you are asking a question not selling or buying. Moved to help and advise forum.

There isn't a rune kite there, which costs about 50K now, so the prices are still pretty much the same.

Also note that R2H's were popular in classic. In RS2, R2H's are basically useless, so demand for kites is much higher now.

actually, they're popular with pk'ers since the high attack and strength values are excellent for delivering finishing blows

also, i remember R2H's being worth around 50K in RSC...nowadays i can see them go for up to 60K

Key word: basically. If they were useless, there would be no market at all.

50K? For some reason I remember them going less. Or my memory fails me.

They're still roughly 50K; the reason they might be sold higher is because the supply is less.
