phatfarmerxx
Now, i know i'm not the only one who wonders what the whole Wise Old Man situation in Draynor is culminating to. I think it should become a ridiculously hard quest where you have to destroy the Wise Old Man. We all saw in the bank video how he dominated all those people. This quest would be released after the WOM (Wise Old Man) robs the Wizard's Tower (we all know he will). Then you can talk to Sedridor (or whatever the guy in the basement is called) and he'll wonder who did it. Then you say that you saw the WOM's telescope pointed at the tower and now he has all sorts of runes in his house. Then the wizard will ask you to try and get back a priceless artifact that was stolen from the wizards. You confront the WOM and he proceeds to kill you. Now, you're dead. You're in the Land of the Ghosts when you meet all the bankers and players that got killed by the WOM. The girl with the party hat will tell you that she has been reading some tomes with some dead wizards and thinks she knows how to revive you. You'll have to retrieve a bunch of things from some dead people. The hardest one will have you fight a lvl-109 boss who used to be a king of asgarnia before he went crazy and died. He thinks that the magic apple you ask him for is his wife, so he gets offended and attacks you. This battle will be hard because you have no weapons. After all the spell things are assembled, you are sent back to draynor square, alive. Diango will then tell you he picked up all the things you dropped when you died and gives them back to you. You go back to the Tower and talk to the head dude who will tell you that you need to destroy the sara staff that the WOM used to kill you. And for this, you need several things. After a couple fights with some greater demons, you should have the things. You need lvl 80 herblore to make the potion that will dissolve the staff into uselessness. But now you need the staff. It is resting on the WOM's study desk. The only problem is to get it without the WOM seeing you. You need 60 agility to leap from rooftop to rooftop and into the WOM's house. Then you'll need a fishing rod to fish up the staff. You use the potion on the staff and destroy it. Figuring the WOM is powerless, you go downstairs to kill him. But wait, he's gone!!! You pick up his diary and find that he's switched sides to Zamorak. Now, you'll have to find him. After a long treasure trail-type search, you'll find that he is now in a secret cave on an island in the deep wilderness. You go to the deep wilderness, where a ferryman lends you his boat. After a dangerous voyage, where you have to fight lvl-90 mutant sharks, you land on the island, where there are dozens of dark warriors waiting to attack you. That fight is easy. Then you have to fight black knights. Then lesser demons, then greater demons and then a hellhound. Finally, you reach the final cave, where the WOM awaits. He is lvl-158. After you defeat him, you see a cutscene where a ghost comes out of the WOM. It turns out the WOM was posessed by a spirit of Zamorak. This monster, called a servant of Zamorak, which is lvl-217, will blast you with magic, melee, and range so it's a tough fight. After this fight, the WOM will teleport both of you to his house in Draynor. He will give you some special life runes that you will use to revive all the people he killed and packages with all the stuff he stole to give back. He will then give you 200000 xp in the skill of your choice and an elemental orb. Attach this orb to a battlestaff of your choice and it will reduce the rune requirements not covered by the staff in half. The WOM will give a huge bag of runes and the artifact he stole from the tower to give back. The head wizard will thank you and teach you a whole new class of attack spells that cause massive damage. And as your last reward, the watchman who you revived will give you a special ring that when used will cause to float around like a genie instead of walk. Does nothing important, but looks pretty cool if you can float around. And if you do another task for the WOM, his reward will be a fireworks amulet. You can choose an option from the right-click menu and magical fireworks will launch up and make some pretty colors. Again, useless but fun. Well, that's it. I decided not to make quest requirements because i don't care and tell if you think the reward is good enough. I think so, but i'm just a noob. And i'm thinking of adding a dragon somewhere in there. I know, i have a long, long, long way to go

Izzywen
It wouldn't be a good idea to have a quest to destroy the Wize Old Man. This is because he is a part of some other quests (eg: garden of tranquility), so if you destroy him then it mucks up those quests. The only way to make it a possibility is if you say that those quests with the WOM in have to be completed first. I helped on the Black Knight's Fortress Quest Guide. Stop messaging me in game! All I did was say BKs are lvl 33, not 31! All skills to level 30!
biznatch2040
nice idea =D> but... why make a quest that gives already ridiculously strong ppl even more power over the lower lvls? :-k it doesnt bode well with those that cant meet quest requirements/complete the quest :shame:

And 200k xp is just way too much, that's like 50 levels right there. Elemental orb will just make mages stronger than they already are. Halving the cost of Ice Barrages? Mages will completely own the game, no questions asked. :ohnoes: The ring and amulet sound cool though. If you lessened the steep herblore requirement, lowered the xp to say 30k, and lessened the level of the Zammy spirit, the quest might just be plausible. ~So pick a BC date, cause you're history.~ heh, welcome to the world of noobscape, its made up of purescape, autoscape, and sadscape, it makes up 60% of all of runescape :Feel free to add onipaladin ingame. Dknghtshadow's temporarily retired.

zeroxdragonx
i like the idea....but it mentions that u would need to fight in the wild..... This will scream "pk here" to pk'ers. Now that might make it impossible to finish the quest (unless u get lucky and no1 is there) Otherwise...... i really like the idea and to riku's question.... he retired, he didn't die. If he actually did, i'd go to his house to look for his p hat, and then i would come out empty handed : (
