August 18, 200619 yr i've been trying to get a rune defender lately. i used 3k tokens with a ring of wealth on, and no bronze even. my friend told me that he got to rune with only 700 without using a ring of wealth. so i was wondering if i should have the ring on or off when i fight cyclops? i've also heard of people not using wealths to fight abby demons, so not wearin my wealth at cyclopses came to mind. Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.
August 18, 200619 yr dunno a a ring of wealth wont help with a clue scroll, might not work with the defender, but i think it does, just have bad luck like me, took me like 4k total to get the rune
August 18, 200619 yr i killed 1000 cyclops no broze defender take it off on my first try broe defender like clue scrolls defenders arn't sayed to be rare by jagex or there one of those thing is rs that are so rare they're priceless in jagex rareness=price e.x. d hally is rare according to jagex becuz it sells for so much in the rs shop but even though rune boots cost so much (or used to) they wer only 9k in the jagex shop so they wern't rare in short: what players concider rare is actuly common in jagex eyes Ponies!

August 18, 200619 yr here we go about the row being efective again... its pure luck...i spent 1.8k tokens to get from iron to steel...and then again 400 all the way up to 2 runes...all of this while row on and on a sidenote the row doesnt affect the clues because is not a drop...row only afects what is dropped...in case you are wondering, barrows chest is not a drop neither. This have been stated in jagex kb itself i think just keep trying and killing as fast as you can...dont get the bones and keep on killing *** [ END ]: You gained 1,671,000 thieving exp in 9mins 44secs. August 18, 200619 yr Well my personal experience was that I got 2 rune defenders in around 4 hours while wearing a RoW. It took about 1,300 tokens, some of the time was because I had to get more tokens - I had started off with 1,000 tokens and no defender. The RoW may increase your chances of it being a good drop, so a defender, but there are other factors that have to be considered. How quickly are you killing them? I tend to find the faster you kill things, the better the drops tend to be - not saying this always works, just a tendency I have noticed. The main reason I was there was to train my attack up 2 levels so I could use my whip - getting the defenders was a nice bonus. Thanks to 4be2jue for the sigs.
