Problem with Rogue Trader mini game

Featured Replies

I've been P2P for a few months and have tried doing the Rogue trader mini game. I go to Ali Morissette and talk to him, but he says nothing about wanting to make a new business (essentially not offering the mini game to me). I've tried going to Varrock and talking with the rune shop owner there, but still no luck. Each time I've tried this, I've been in a members only world. I've already completed the rune mysteries quest. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

i belive you have to do his quest first, i dont remember what its called though

Have you done The Feud Quest yet?

Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !

Hmm... Maybe you have to do a quest for him? In other words the quests involved with his mini-game. That would include gaining access to Sophanem and Polivneach(?). I know I did the mini-game only after I completed those quests.

But if you've got the few quests done then I suppose you should send in a query to Jagex about it.

Edit: Heh, we all suggested to do quests. When I clicked to post there were not replies, good stuff. Great minds think alike

My personal apologies for the misinformation in our site guide (which I wrote). When the mini game was introduced, we were told that only Rune Mysteries was required to do the rune portion of the mini game.

However, I've just checked Jagex's Knowledge Base (which wasn't available when the guide was written), and it states that all three quests (Rune Mysteries, Icthlarin's Little Helper and The Feud) are required to play the mini game. :(

Try one or both of the other two quests. I recommend trying The Feud first, as it's the easiest, and it begins with Ali Morisane anyway - hopefully he did try to offer you that quest! If doing only that one allows you to play Ali's mini game, please PM me so that I can change the guide accordingly. (Click the PM button at the lower left area of this post.) Likewise, if you end up having to do both before he will offer you the game, let me know so I can fix the guide.

We try to make our guides as accurate as possible, and feedback from players such as yourself helps us to do so. Again, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

thats strange because wen i was members on a different name awhile ago (yes it too was before the knowledge base was released) i used the tip.it guide (thanks for the sudoku solver) and ive never done Icthlarin's Little Helper and i was able to do the whole rouge trader mini game (yay cheep runes) must be an under-the-hood change

Or maybe only The Feud quest is required.

Thanks for posting, I feel a tiny bit better. ;)
