Uh huh. Boots with [bleep]es on. Like you'd want to be climbing wooden staircases in those. It would ruin carpets and get stuck in the dirt while you're fighting. If you put liquid poison on it, you better hope you never walk at all, because movement would shake off whatever you put on, and if you walk through dirt, grass or any yielding surface, it'll be scraped off.

People don't lift and drop their feet flat when they move unless they're stamping, which requires ridiculous amounts of energy in the long term and isn't half as efficient as a heel to toe action.

Combat-capable [bleep]es on boots = idiocy.

I don't know where you got that idea from, but it is wrong.

Come on you can't see pigs with wings irl, but you can in a game. So why not [bleep]ed boots with poison? :P

Maybe the [bleep]es could be on the tip pointing upwards, so they don't get stuck into anything? It does seem like an idea whose time has come, since we have rune boots, but no dragon boots.

There's no sig here. Move it along...

ANYTHING can happen in a game it doesn't even have to be cool

Oh, yes, because in 1802 there was still widespread use of full plate armour and battle axes. Runescape isn't set in the real world, hence it doesn't stick to a time period. However, it still has to be believable.

Suspension of disbelief. Please don't try to argue with it until you have read it and understood its meaning.

If something is just far too ridiculous or looks too unrealistic, it breaks the integrity of the game and its ability to immerse the player.

Boots with [bleep]es on is one of these things.

Dragons, magic and such I can handle, because what examples in real life outside of art do we have of them to base their "realism" on? Exactly. Nothing. Do we have examples of boots and do we know how they work? Yes we do. So if you want to add any boots, they should be believable within the scope of what we know of them.

Maybe the [bleep]es could be on the tip pointing upwards, so they don't get stuck into anything? It does seem like an idea whose time has come, since we have rune boots, but no dragon boots.

Maybe, but then what would the [bleep]e be mounted on? If it's above your toes, the base would crush them after heavy walking unless it's really just a stud rather than a true [bleep]e. If it's at the front and just bends upwards, that's even more extra, unbalanced weight on your foot.

i don't know where YOU got that idea, but its wrong HELLO?? Giant Great demons with wings, getting stuck behind a rock....nice job =D> Anyway...no poisoning, just no point, but nice idea tho, way to be creative :) Dragon boots would be ok, try to get the stats and wat drops them tho. Dark Beasts perhaps? need to give them a purpose for lvl 90 slayer to kill :?

Cough...

I point you to the [bleep]es on the foighting boots. Incidentally, why would it crush your foot? Have you never seen steel toed boots? One could easily place a spined chunk of metal out of the end of one of those.

As for unbalancing, consider the fact that you're talking about a game in which players wear capes made of tiny plates of volcanic glass... hows that for balance?

to the creator of this thread: good job on wasting forum space by posting an idea about something that has already been suggested thousands upon thousands of times.

jagex will come out with all the dragon crap eventually.

i dont see why people want dragon stuff anyway. It has horrible stats and it cost way too much.

i'd like to see jagex come out with new mage and range armor, along with armor for level 80 and 90 defense.

That's why its crappy because there are no full helms and plates. If those were out they would be better stats.

it would still be overpriced and it would still blow in comparison to barrows armor, which is 10% the price of dragon.
