September 6, 200619 yr I have 89 Range and I'm going for 99, training on Blue dragons. I use Iron Knives and I was wondering if Steel arrows are better. What should I do then?

September 6, 200619 yr Even though knives are insanely fast, they won't hit much on the dragons. The accuracy on the bow makes up for the speed of the knives. Though that's not the case when you're slaughtering something with low defence (fire giants for example) use knives. If found that if I range blue dragons with iron arrows, and use my cannon, I can make a profit selling the bones and crafting the hides.
September 7, 200619 yr I tryed knives yesterday first time on moss giants (I like herb seeds), and I kill mosses 20-30% faster than other guy there, that was using magic short and stell arrows. On top, he had 1 level beter ranged than me. As I make my iron knives, there is no more doubt for me. Iron knives till ranged 70 (my goal). You could measure time to kill few monsters, and make your own conclusion. #3001 to get 99 slayer on 10. 01. 2009.
September 7, 200619 yr As much as I praise iron knives, I've tried both on dragons and I can honestly say you'll need to use the arrows. Knives hit fast, but even with high range the lack of range bonus as compared to a bow with steel arrows.... It'll look like this. Knives: 7..6..0..0..0..3..0..5..0..0 Bows: 11....8....9....3....0....12.... That's a very rough estimate but you get the picture. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read.
September 7, 200619 yr Try it out. Iron knives have the possibility of being faster, that is if you don't hit a lot of zeros. You are trying to reach 99 ranged on blue dragons, so you'll be at it for a long time. Just get 1k steel arrows and 1k iron knives and start measuring kill time. Then do the best method all the way.
September 7, 200619 yr Firstly dont train on blue dragons, they have high def, slow respawn and unless u find a good world other people are there stealing them with air strike. get iron knives and go dust devils (if u got 65slayer) or moss giants, lessers, fire giants...things with low defence...
