I have been browsing ebay these days.

 

and found out that people do bid on RS2 accounts!

 

I just don't understand how could be safe to buy a RS2 account.

 

First of all, trading real world items(money) is not legal.

 

secondly, even if you bought the account, the seller could still

 

use recovery question to take his account back.

 

 

 

if the seller doesn't set recovery questions, the account can also

 

be taken back by giving "1st ever used password", "one of the used password" of the account and deatils of the account to Jagex.

Why do people still fall for scams... Because some people are just stupid

Why do people post this in off topic. Nobody cares at all.

It all depends on the trustworthiness and reputation of the seller. Many people succesfully bought accounts and never got caught, though Jagex prohibits it. And yes there are people who will pay thousands to get RS accounts, just like there are people who would pay $5,000 for an everquest weapon.

 

 

 

I don't see how Jagex loses out since they're not out of any money.

Jagex likes to act like they really care about the game. :wink:

It is against the Jagex rules to sell accounts or items for real life benefits.
