gtacrackhead
Which staff has more advantages?
sleepwalker0
That depends what you are doing, they all have the same bonuses they just give u infinate runes of whatever kind staff ur using so if ur alching ud want a fire staff and if your pking ud proly want earth for using earth bolt etc.
Jake_Corsair
I'd go with air, if you mage quite a bit, then you will need airs for almost every spell you use. That will cut down on the amount of runes you need more than a fire staff. Also, I find fire runes tend to be easier to gather from monster drops than other runes, if you need to collect them. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
TheAncient
Air -PKing, dueling, castle wars (because you want flexibility in the types of spells you're using) -Training (depends on spell) Fire -Alching -Training (depends on spell) -Sometimes used in PKing. Otherwise, they're completely equal in stats. My advice: Buy 1-2 Air MysBattles (50k - 100k). Buy 2 Fire Regular staffs (3k). And you're set. Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? transcript80
They are equal, as mentioned before. But fires are really easy to come by, I never crafted or bought many (1k MAX) and i have about 22k in the bank now from monster drops! Airs are a lot less common as monster drops, but are easily craftable in large quantities (lvl 55RC for 6x airs per ess!). So its really up to you! I have an air battle staf and and a couple of lava staffs. So infinite elementals for me! (I don't use much waters, get them 70 at the time from elves when slaying htem) Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
happy123
Both! They are only 1.5k ea 1.5 * 4 =6k For all of em Surely you can afford that But it all depends on the spells you are using. dogfever
I was going to say get both but I mostly use my air staff for teleporting about the place and seeing as you seem to be f2p that's not so important. If you really have to get only one then get a fire staff because it is good for superheating and alching. Plus airs are less hassle to craft than fires. But I'd seriously consider getting both. Doomster
Taking the F2P staffs: Air: Good for 1 space combat spells (with chaos or death), or a free choice of attack spell using other runes. The "swiss army knife" of mage combat staffs. Water/Earth: Use with body & opposite rune for curses, or chaos & opposite rune for crumbles. Fire: Way to go for all fire spell casters, get the best value damage for each missile rune, also excellent for alch and superheat. In the members staffs, Lava aids both fire and earth spells, while Mud is well equipped for curse-class spells & single shot crumbles. The slayer staff is best for heavy duty crumbling, as the only one which can autocast, though with no economization on rune usage.
D. V. Devnull
As an F2P, I have found the Air Staff to be my best shot when doing stuff, as it has the most versatility of all of them. The only time you'd want a fire staff is for High-Alchs as it will save on Fire Runes, but the rest of the time, the Air Staff is perfect for basically everything. So if you're going to buy 1 and only 1, make it the Air Staff. Else expect your spell options to become very limited... :shame: ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)
