Your favorite build

Featured Replies

there are many types of pvp charactor builds in rs that can be good for stakeing, pking, or anything else. The two that stand out are the verac staker and the range/mage pker. the verac staker has about 70 attack, 60 strength, 70 defence, 1 prayer. very usefull for fight pits or stakeing.

the range/mage pker usually has high mage and range, and little to none def and pray. these i hate because they show off there ranger sets all the time. they usually wear a combo of black d hide legs and ghostly robe top and use rune arrows with a msb.

i however only have one account but instead of training all combat stats to about the same i really focus on def and range. i like to think of myself as a tank ranger. i keep my prayer low enough that i can use all the prayers but not to high as it would ruin my combat lvl. i try to keep my range lvl the same or higher than my combat lvl, and my def 10 lvls lower than my range lvl. as a main, i have to have at least some melee stats so i try to keep my attack 5 lvls above my str because i like to hit more accuratly.

i wear ranger boots, fury, archers ring, cbow, legends cape, v skirt, karils body, and torags helmet/veracs helmet if i had one, or an archers helmet. archers helmet and ring provide a much better alternative to a robin hat because of better def and range bonuses and its much cheeper. pretty much a fight caves set-up. this works very well for fight pits, duel arena and c wars.

sorry any spelling mistakes and for writeing so much, but the question is -- what is your favorite charactor build, how is it usefull, and why do you like it.

i think i might be usefull to put down a list of the best rs builds and there ideal stats, so people could pick and chose one to make for themselves, but it might be a stupid idea. if you support just tell me.

At the moment, my RS character in terms of melee stats is: 76-76-76-76. I'm planning on getting 80 defence and going after a fire cape before 100 combat, but I'm still contemplating on this.

I'm trying to go for 75-80 range, and magic I care the least about. I only mage seriously when I've collected enough chaos runes for some fire bolts and some decent magic exp, I don't spend a lot of money on mage.

So I guess I'm a normal person. :XD:

You also forgot tank mages. They're good for pking :D High magic, high defense, not much in the melee department. :P

My build is mage 94, the level everyone wants to hit (and i will shortly).

My combat stats i like my attack +3 over my str, and my str +3 over my defense, so i hit my max alot, and my defense helps out a bit. My prayer, i just want it in 10s (50, 60, 70, ect) as i get money and time. Range i want even with defense.

My build is only really practical at higher levels, you wont see many 70s with the same stats (not including the magic, thats understandable)

But its good for fight caves, dag kings, barrows, kq, and in pvp situations, although someone with abnormally high str or defense will win out on me.

With your attack at least +1 lv over your str, you tend to hit your max or around it more often. +3 lvls over it an you tend to hit it alot. So yeah, you would be good for your level.

About doing all the dag kings and stuff, you might want to wait till your stats are in the mid 80s for that stuff. :-k

But i tried all those things with around your stats (higher attack though) and i made it out ok.

Err.... However much higher your attack is than your strength has no bearing on whether you hit your max more often.

Attack = Higher chance of not hitting a zero.

Strength = You hit a random between 1 - ?, the higher number depending on what your str level is and what weapon you are wielding.

99 Range

99 Mage

99 HP

1 Attack

1 Str

99 Defense

Tank mage originated on RSC, and pretty much as died out on RS2, but it has atleast 70+ mage, with 60+ defense with it.

70/80/40

My build is a solid 40 defense with high attack and strength. With 40 defense I've sacrificed 10 combat levels, but I've just gained enough defense level to take advantage of rune armour, and the green d hide body, useful for protecting against mages.

The not so useful part is the 70 attack, since I'm a f2p and it only allows me to use rune scimitar. 70 attack doesn't help much at all against 60 def rune fullers for example, and it doesn't raise the already high accuracy against monk robers or rangers / mages.

So as an overall not a useful combination in f2p, but it would work wonders in p2p I think.

Um whatever the 99 mage, hp, range and defence one is that barrages then runs back and ranges the opponent :)
