September 20, 200619 yr Original With my name on it :P With my username on it :P Used Radial blur and adjusted the levels in PhotoShop CS It's the first manipulation I'm proud to display. I think its rather dramatic  Photos!

September 20, 200619 yr im guessing 3 main stage. 1st crop leaf into new layer. 2nd add contrast to the bg. 3rd add zoom blur to the bg. basicly, im sure you did more. either way i like the way it looks, different for a photo manip. i personaly quite like the zoom blur, but i think it will get to the stage where im sick of it, cos i used it to much, but thats yet to come. looking good. be good to see you do some more. just wondering, what program(s) did you use? PJB21 100% my own work, i make my own brushes: set 1 set 2
September 20, 200619 yr just wondering, what program(s) did you use? I'd take a swing at Photoshop. - Too much contrast around the leaf, the branches just looks like a blob now. - Saturate (and possibly contrast) the leaf. It's... meh. Not a lot to it really. :|

PJB21 That's pretty much right. I was browsing through the Photoshop section of my magazines and I found out about adjusting the levels to rescue a burnt out sky so I experimented with it by selecting the area around the leaf, ctrl+alt+d 50 pixel feather then ctrl+L and adjusted the levels till I got a result I liked. Then without unselecting the background I added a zoom blur to make the leaf clearer since my focusing wasn't spot on  And then I added my name to it  I used Adobe PhotoShop Creative Suite if you're interested. The last manipulation I did was just adjusting the colour levels and saturation  Photos!
September 20, 200619 yr wooo its magic. DO YOU CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PLANET OR WILL YOU LET IT GO TO BUGGERY Discuss here http://www.ecopetition.org/forums/index.php
September 20, 200619 yr A general bit of advice, but I wouldn't keep a manip if it looks worse than what it started at. I'm sorry but i'm not a fan of it, it's just a radial blur in the background... And that's it. I like the photo much more.

While I appreciate the advice, I like the manipulation, However I am biased as I created it. But thanks for being honest . Photos!
September 21, 200619 yr Radial blur ftw? you should try some basic tuts, or mess about. messing about = very educational in PS. try Guassian blur 2 pix > overlay and stuff for eg. play about. GJ for a first i guess. My photobucket

GJ for a first i guess. I kinda used a tutorial if you count using different techniques from several issues of "Practical Photography" as a tutorial, but other than that it was just messing about. As I say, I have made one previous manipulation but that was a complete failure. Photos!
September 21, 200619 yr sometimes less is more. hold on ill show u a manip i did awhile back. barely done anything, but it looks ok. My photobucket
September 21, 200619 yr looks like you studck it in a oven and burnt it... photo manip's normally use the *photo* and add manipulate it, instead of just using a radial blur... wop wop
September 22, 200619 yr Author looks like you studck it in a oven and burnt it... photo manip's normally use the *photo* and add manipulate it, instead of just using a radial blur... That's hardly constructive critism is it? That's just saying "It looks like crap" then hitting submit. Why not say "Oh, it looks like crap but you could maybe do this, that and the other to improve it" And I didn't just use radial blur. Come to think of it, I used zoom blur \ Photos!
