Randomly Closing Screens?

Featured Replies

Well, I changed my motherboard, which passed the BurnInTest thing, but it randomly closes screens, once in a while.

How do I fix it? I'm running Ad-Aware at the moment, hoping it's spyware.

Any solutions?

erm... i dont think it's a spyware.... it's just some kind of bug that follows with the software u installed. and sometime windows xp do that without any reason. it happened to me as well before. but never happened again after i reinstall my windows xp.

If the RS client is randomly closing, thats a known issue.

If ALL your windows are randomly closing, well then I have no clue.

Any java applet is closing, and I can't uninstall Java 1.5_6 or something.. (Lastest one)!

It says like, wrong directory or something.

Someone help?

I would suggest you uninstall java completely from your computer and then re-install it all over; http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

I had same problem as you, but it stopped after I re-installed it. Remember; dont just install over the old one, uninstall the old one first.

I glory to edge. It closed.

I put on my dharok at duel arena. It closes.

It seems like a keylogger or something, but it isn't.

Anyone help? Please? By the way, I can't uninstall java because it says it has an invalid path or something.

sounds like someone manually deleted the java files, leaving it in your registry.

...

HJT log, please.

As I was telling you, make sure you update *all* of your software drivers.

So you're running an Nvidia VGA card? Make sure you have the latest driver for your card.

It never hurts to do all the routine maintenance.

Ad-Aware, to be quite honest, isn't going to help you as it mainly removes tracking cookies. Spybot S&D and Spyware Blaster (to harden your browser, especially IE) are good spyware tools, but I doubt this is a spyware problem.

CCleaner will help you clean out cache files (browser cache is one of them), and fix registry problems (do NOT repair the registry without backing it up first! It is a pain to fix if you don't).

Check to see if your main drive needs to be defragmented, and defrag when needed.

Again, again, again, post a HijackThis log. We can't effectively help you if you don't.
