Newest sigs

Featured Replies

Well lately i've been getting heavily back into music and so i made these two sigs, thoughts are muchly appriciated as well as CC.

The first of which is a Jimi Hendrix sig, those that dont know who Jimi Hendrix are, well he's a guitar god... and you my friend have lived under a heavy rock for the past 25 years...

The second of my sigs is Jet. Jet have a new album coming out on the 3rd and this is to commemorate it.

Again thoughts and CC are more than welcome, ratings too but they arn't necacary. If you do rate, please post why you chose that rating. Likes, dislikes..

dont like either

Reasons? Help him towards you liking it?

I can't see the first signature, so i'll just say on the second.

What would've looked really good would be if you actually quickly cropped the band and put it on top of the text. It'd look a lot better because I don't like the random colours going over the people, makes it look weird.

Anyway, it's simple. There's not much to dislike about it really. :)

ok cad, though ill probably get another ban for this, hence i didnt post it in the first place.

it looks very noobish. it looks kinda loq qual, and the colours are ugly. the render is strange, and the BG doesnt suit it at all. big peices of tect like u have looks noobish and un professional.

Well i suppose each to their own, although as of late weeboab your opinions dont mean a great lot to me since youve aquired the personality of a chipanzee, cadbury i'll take your CC into strong concideration.

As a short explination as to why i have done them as i have, Jimi Hendrix was a god in the 60s and so I designed a sig I felt to be fitting of that time and the picture.

With Jet I applied a 70's feel, as i think the band have a stong 70's vibe, I figured bold colours that are washed out (mainly due to the printing of the day)

Although i'm sure people don't really care about this, i felt as though (as [cabbage] as you may believe they are) they deserve an explanation.

Also Cadburys, should you look over this post again and you are able to see the first sig, please comment as i would like to hear your opinions on it.

ok, from now on i wont give u C,C, as you cant take the 'critiscism part'

i got into trouble for posting an image which 'provoked another user' so to prevent myself from getting into trouble again for the same reason, ive been posting links rather than images, and suddenly everyones on my back?

also, i was cncing the first, jimmy hendrix, not the 2nd which ur currently using.

Yeah, that's some clear cut C&C there! [/sarcasm]. All I hear in this post is "noobish" "ugly" "strange" "un professional". That's just a blatent put down.

Weeboab, your taking this out of proportion. I mean, common you had to take one image off and now your pissed at everything? Eh.. gunna keep this thread clean of anymore of this.

Anyways.. I can't see the first either black. The second's color's do fit the era (as you said) and deffinitly has that 70's feel to it. Other than that I agree with cad. It's not terribly technical, but it looks nice.

Was the signature a stock photo? Or did you assemble it together? If you like i'll have a go at putting the band infront of the text. :)

thats the best c.c i could give, i cant see anything wrong with it, but it looks noobish and unprofessional. im sorry if u cant understand that. try going to CGFX and get some real hardC.C, not this 'Gosh, its lovely' stuff. they tell you what they think, they dont care what you think. thats the way CC should be

I've posted a few of my images on CGFX already and i've gotten.. maybe 2-3 replies max on the image. The few I did get were something like "blend in the character more" or "I like it". Not quite hard C&C....

I'm all for not just posting "wow it r awesom mak me won plz." but really there is a line between critcism (harsh as it may be) and just blatently putting that person down.

Remember, just because you don't like it means it's unprofessional. It's an opinion. "To each their own".

Why are you all into "CGFX does this, and that". I go on CGFX, to look at tutorials. I don't post my artwork there because i'm really not good enough. They have awesome people there, way better than me - or shall ever be.

you get so little replies because they dont like the work, it happens to everyone.

and cad, maybe thats why i post there? :XD:

"noobish" is hardly any useful professional CC by far. Do not post CC using such useless words or hijack a person's topic by asking them to check your forum.

Useful CC shows the problems, the strong points, and gives suggestions on how to improve the problems. Anything else is spam, which will end here.
