With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Yea, I've seen it. It was at our film festival last week. I thought it was pretty cool. I never read the books, but you could obviously see it was designed for a younger audience. And that's not only due to the 14 year old 'spy'. It was still fun for older audiences though. We had a great time, especially trough brilliant roles by Bill Nighy and Mickey Rourke and the over the top action.

Put some effort in your topic next time. Not everybody has heard of it.

When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

I got all the books so far, and would have to say the movie just didn't do the books justice. The acting was terribly overplayed (especially Mr. Blunt) , and Smithers isn't has as fat as he should be. Apart from that, the action scenes were quite good, but I would of liked the movie to just follow the storyline of Stormbreaker, with no aspects of the other books blended in as well (Sabina Pleasure).

I've seen Stormbreaker, it's was fantastic! My mum's 50 and she loved it lol.

Thanks to 4be2jue for the signature!

I have read the first 4 books (other 2 in cupboard waiting to be read) and I have seen the first movie. Now, because I am from England I can say that I enjoyed it more because I knew who some of the actors are. (Smithers being Stephen Fry is an excellent choice) The film was quite good but obvious the books are better. Its also good how they introduced Sebrina in the first film.

I've seen it, and it's funny as. Not really that funny, except for that guy that works for the company, the boss dude. And he's old, he's just funny  It's pretty good.

I want to see it, but my friend calls the books "dumb", even though the only one he owns is stormbreaker, which he won from a library contest
