  1. So I just subscribed! My plan of attack to regain some semblance of wealth is to camp at the runespan until 90 rc, and craft death runes in the abyss using all pouches and abyss familiar... Sounds like a good idea or no?
  2. Thanks for all the greetings guys, it means a lot! I don't think I'll be creating a new account, I have injected far too much time to just throw it away and to be honest, I cbf'ed starting from scratch. As far as I know whoever took my account didn't know my secret questions or which email it was linked to, and as such thought it too much of a risk to keep playing on. I've left friends chat on to see if I get any interesting PM's and so far nothing. I'm quite positive the account is solely back in my own possession now. On a different note I've just hit 85 rc in about 3 days of Runespan in f2p, this xp is unheard of! Does the xp get even higher in members?
  3. How's it hanging tip.it? I doubt I'm remembered here, but I thought I'd say g'day and share a little of my RS history while I'm at the runespan to make this a tad more interesting! I created my first and only account (king kenny69) in march 2003 during the 'glory years' of RSC. I can't really recall much of that time, except the huge crowds in varrock bank waiting for a teller, fishing sardines to train combat on zombies, and getting my first r2h via selling str pots just outside the wilderness. I had a great time playing, everything was a new adventure to me and there was so much to learn! Skip forward a bit to the launch of 'RS2', and after a brief break I was hooked again. I was about level 50 with ordinary stats when I became a member and started questing like mad! A few months after the abyss was released I learned of the 'huge' amount of cash there was to be made via crafting nature runes. I was about level 82 at this period with quite a nice bit of gold for myself, which I splurged on full dragon armour and my account really started to take form. I drifted away from any combat whatsoever and focused on skilling, not trying to get one single skill to 99, but to get everything equally high, which takes some time! I got the fire cape at lvl 92 after trying since lvl 89 to get it, which was a great achievement for me (and an ordinary lvl 92) at the time. I kept rune crafting as my primary source of income, with all my RC levels (44-83) coming from the abyss method. I used to get a real kick out of hunting down abyss pkers that tried to kill me. I would gear up, and charge them down, dds, whip and rune defender in hand wearing fighter torso and barrows gloves, complete with fire cape flowing behind me. Needless to say the tables were turned! I acquired the quest cape on the day the skill capes were released, and bought a blue mask when they cost about 26m. At this point I lost interest, and stopped playing RS at the beginning of 2007. I felt I had achieved all I wanted to do, and anything more was merely a chore... I was quite proud of my account at that time, I had 95 combat, over 1800 skill total (can't remember exact amount), sold most of my bank and upgraded to a red and blue mask for hibernating. Last year one of my mates IRL contacted me and tried to get me to play again. I declined but logged on and gave him my red mask instead, as I really couldn't see myself playing ever again. Fast forward yet another year to present day and I randomly decide visit runescape.com to see whats changed. What's this huge banner I see at the top? WTF is a Runespan? Curiosity got the better of me and after a snappy password recovery as I couldn't remember mine I log in! ... My account is sitting somewhere in what's called the Grand Exchange. Something's not right... I'm not wearing anything apart from my firecape, so I check my bank. Rubbish, only quest junk and worthless crap remains. I look at my stats, I have summoning and dungeoneering levels, which was released since I quit. I'm now CB lvl 102, not cool! Someone's hacked my account, claimed ownership of it, and later decided to bail and take my bank (and blue mask) with them. That was 2 days ago, and honestly I don't really care about the loss. ATM I'm earning bulk xp in f2p runespan, trying to get used to all the new features, see-sawing over whether to give RS another go and re-sub or just stay f2p and let my interest in RS die again. Well, that's about it tip.it, I might see ya'll around (world 99 is the HYT world still?), or may not! Cheers!
  4. Never use 'hardcore metal' and children of bodom in the same sentence again, it just makes you look ignorant.
  5. I actually think there are two vocalists overlaying each other, one doing 'clean' screaming, and the other using more distorted, garbled tones ('frog squealing' is the term I think). As for my opinion, their first song was pretty dull and dragged out to much, but it was still ok I guess. I hope that as they refine their sound, they opt for tandem vocals, like Despised Icon. That would make them an interesting band to listen to. Thats a lie, I listened to Elysia today :P
  6. Eels: I live in W.A, so Surfers or Byron Bay isn't really an economic option, heh. I went to Donsborough, which is a small town in the South West of WA, which was really one of the only options we had left, as many regular leavers hotspots had celebrations canceled. When you go on leavers, pack both types of protection (condoms and something to defend yourself with), in case you cross paths with a few Bunnings warehouse employees (toolies). They get pretty violent when they've been drinking all day and fancy some of your female friends. Other then that, have a blast man.
  7. Carnage from leavers 2007/schoolies/ whatever you wanna call it. Don't be fooled, the water bottles may look innocent, but they were actually filled with Midori and sprite, good stuff. Bruised knuckles.
  8. Subcanvas, uses neutral shades, and hence is very easy on the eyes.
  9. Beats me why he wanted to bust a dump backwards at his girlfriends house, the only result from that is leaving a nice trail down the front of the bowl. People do it at parties that I've been to, which is why I choose to water the plants instead. It's unpleasant for the girls, though.
  10. Oh hell yes. I remember his post in rants, specifically the one time where a random made a thread about 'pier' pressure, and Raichase replied with: "Pier pressure? Yes, I can see it now. A large jetty creeping up on you, and smacking you in the back of the head..." I can't remember the rest. He was such a creative and unique troll :P As for my own memories, I remembering signing up on Scapeboard, getting flamed for thoughtless posts, then leaving. I tried again in '06 on these forums now, took a little flak, but hung 'round.
  11. Dude, if you NEVER rely on game reviews, then this is the one for you! It got crap reviews, so based on your opposite reaction to crap reviews, you'd love it!
  12. fake u noob -.- Any solid evidence to back up that conclusion?
  13. http://www.dagbladet.no/nyheter/2007/11/07/517514.html 4Chan strikes again.
  14. 2012 - Demise of the 5th sun - Scar Symmetry They're a damm good melodeath band, but their lyrics are just so obscure. [hide]Pinnacle of evolution The end of linear time Progress or termination Cosmic ray mutation It's the question that burns inside Will we perish or rise with the tide When the waters of consequence Comes rushing forth For the lines on the fractal wave Fits the course of history They're created to work as one 'til the end A dimensional shift Leap in consciousness Or a dire destiny Asteroid fatality It's the question that burns inside Will we perish or rise with the tide When the waters of consequence Comes rushing forth For the lines on the fractal wave Fits the course of history They're created to work as one 'til the end At a time when terrestrial And galactic grids align The demise in 2012 realized Pinnacle of evolution, the end of linear time Progress or termination Cosmic ray mutation A dimensional shift, leap in consciousness Or a dire destiny, asteroid fatality [solo] For the lines on the fractal wave Fits the course of history They're created to work as one 'til the end When the winter solstice comes Actualizing the prophecy The demise in 2012 realized[/hide]
  15. I don't use either, but if I had to choose, probably facebook. When one of my friends sends me a link to their myspace page via msn, their page takes like 2 freaking minutes to load!
  16. Studied for exams, what else is new? Anyway, Halloween was never big in OZ.
  17. I'm not much into industrial either, but I've heard a few of these bands at a mates house: Death Stars Static X Mnemic Sybreed Raunchy All made pretty good music in my book.
  18. Behold! A Night To Remember - Dead And Divine I don't like the name of this band, (band names with anything 'death' affiliated give bad first impressions, imo) but this song has a powerful climax.
  19. Yeah, the AS players beat you to it :D I used to play it, I was a Teuton farmer and had quite a decent sized army. I'll have a look through my PC and see if I still have any screenies left of my adventures :P EDIT: Found a few:
  20. Exile -Soilwork From their latest album Sworn To A Great Divide, which is a huge let down, in my opinion. Their new guitarist just can't replicate Peter Whichers style.
  21. I agree with you on the re-play value. After getting both endings there isn't really much else to do.
  22. So you think a snake as big as that has no defense mechanisms whatsoever? And when did Trip say anything about it giving him/her the 'jibbles'? Non dangerous my [wagon].
  23. Wow, is that a carpet python? I've heard they are pretty docile and can be kept as pets, and are excellent rat hunters.
