What are the worst song lyrics you've heard?

I mostly listen to Rock or Metal music, especially Metalcore. My favorite bands include Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Metallica, and Iron Maiden. A lot of musicians of that Genre make music that requires some thought in the lyrics.

Because of my tastes, I very seldom listen to popular radio. I do know most of the popular songs, though, as I sometimes watch MTV Hits (a small MTV channel that lays popular crud all day long).Today, though, I was extremely bored, so I put on the Mainstream radio station...

To be greeted by a shout of "Youuuuuuuuuuu!" I listened to the rest of "Crank That," and looked up the lyrics afterwards. I was shocked by their stupidity. This guy must have wrote this song in 5 minutes. It has to have some of the worst lyrics I've heard recently.

I can't help but hum the tune to Solja boy whenever I happen to hear it. It may be some of the stupidest writing ever, but meh -- catchy.

For bad lyrics though pretty much take anything from Bullet to my Valentine and you're garenteed a hit. Likewise any other metalcore band that tries to put in 'meaningful' lyrics, not realizing it doesn't mean a damn thing.

I think the lyrics to 'Smells like teen spirit' are quite fun. With the lights out, it's less dangerous, here we are now, entertain us ;d (these were Kurt's lines whenever he came to a party, btw). Weird Al Yancowic made a hilarious parody of this song: Smells like Nirvana (LyricWiki)

Dumb lyrics are mostly those that try to be over-philosophical and 'meaningful'. Yeah that Linkin Park song, hahaha. Fits well.
