Hi, I'm Nintend Fan. This is a blog about Nintend Fan, my Runescape main, who is F2P and will most likely stay that way. I'll try to update at least every two days, but if everyone likes my runescape adventures, I'll write more often.

I'm a Rune Pure as you probably noticed, but I find the extra 3 defense annoying. Dumb Dragon Slayer EXP...

 

 

 

Don't bother asking about my bank, I DO have all that stuff for a reason, but explaining would just take far too long.

 

 

 

Anyways... here are my goals for the near future. Hopefully this blog will help me reach them faster.

 

 

 

-At the moment, I have less than 500k. My goal is 3 mil, so I can buy the full Saradomin armor I've always wanted, and still have some cash on hand.

 

 

 

As far as stats go:

 

-37 Mage: This is for the immediate future, but as far as long-term goes, high alching would be nice... I just want to teleport to Falador so I can start making cash by smelting steel bars again. It seemed to work the last time I did it...

 

-41 Woodcutting: A kind member gave me a Mith, Adamant, and Rune axe after I posted a question about where I could buy these axes on this forum. (Thank you, you know who you are. ;)) I gave the Mith Axe to my friend who needed it, but 2 axes are taking up some of my precious little bank space, and at 41 Woodcutting, I'll actually be able to use the rune one.

 

-99 Strength: It's likely that I'll achieve my monetary goal before this one, but this is basically for PKing. And who knows, the skill capes might be for F2P to... :ohnoes:

 

-40 Ranged: Another combat goal. I'm not normally a Ranger, but I won't be able to have F2P's best melee armor until I can wear Green Dragonhide Vambraces.

 

-60 Mining and 48 Smithing: The Mining Guild is THE best spot to mine coal. I want in. As far as Smithing goes, I'd get the money I want faster if I could alch Steel Platebodies (I'd need one of my mage friends for this...) as opposed to selling Steel Bars.

 

 

 

That's probably enough goals for now... I'll start my blog with day 1 tomorrow. :

Mining and smithing was how I got my saradomin armor when I was f2p ^_^ Although the immediate payoff wasn't as significant, you may be better off just using your steel bars for the exp and get up to smithing steel plates. Just make steel kites or legs until you can. It may take a little longer, but its more benificial in the long run.

Day 1:

 

Last night I had noticed a few sapphires sitting in my bank, so I made a few amulets of magic. I was pleasently surprised with...

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today I figured I might be able to finish all my mage training, on day 1 no less! I decided to go over to Wizard's Tower (stupid... I know) since the Wizards dropped fair ammounts of runes. I took plenty of runes from my bank, and all my elemental staves, and took my armor off and just carried it with me. (I hate the limited bank space...)

 

 

 

 

 

 

What's laughable is after roughly 20 minutes of careless training, I nearly got myself killed. Having been holding my full rune did nothing to boost my confidence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ouch...

 

 

 

I came close to 36, but... I didn't care to continue training at this point.

 

 

 

Very shaken, I left the island for Draynor bank, deposited all my runes, and donned my armor.

 

 

 

Too shaken to do much of anything, I Homeported to Lumbridge to claim some more free runes. ^.^

 

 

 

By that time, I figured 7 HP was enough to flee from any random event monster after me... so I grabbed my Tinderbox and Adamant Axe and headed for some Willows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some odd looking Willows... these ones are east of Lumbridge Castle. (2 of them) I couldn't be bothered though, nobody is ever here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm getting there... ^.^ I also got a nice 37 firemaking.

 

 

 

I can't be bothered to do much on weekdays really... so that's all for now.

Day 2:

 

 

 

I had finished up yesterday in Lumbridge.

 

 

 

Anyways, today was the day of the Great Gielinor Inferno, so I started banking some Willows. These ones in Lumbridge sure beat Draynor any day!

 

 

 

 

 

 

There's really no point in posting the other level up pics, but they're in the first post if you must see them.

 

 

 

After cutting and banking 5 loads of Willows (104 logs), I was starting to get bored. I grabbed my fishing gear and headed to Barbarian Village to prepare for a trip to the Wilderness.

 

 

 

I pk often, either solo or with my friends, and this probably won't be the only time I write about it. I headed to Dark Knight's Fortress on my own.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I met a level 56 who offered to team with me, and it took off from there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here we are...

 

 

 

He got a kill here at the castle, a lvl 58 archer. I hadn't helped at all, but we split the kill 50/50 anyway. After that, we headed up to Bandit Camp. I made us a few Anchovie Pizzas, but then a mage showed up and started attacking me.

 

 

 

We chased him out, and teamed him. I wound up getting the kill, and we split these new items 50/50 as well.

 

 

 

After a few more attacks, but no more kills, we wound up back at Dark Knight's. I attacked a level 60, but, and I felt this was rather anticlimactic, my dad was yelling at me, so I was forced to teleport and log off.

 

 

 

By the time I got back 5 minutes later, my friend had been forced to teleport as well, so that was the end of that. Here's my share of the loot:

 

 

 

 

 

 

I kept the runes, and sold the rest for roughly 8k. Not much, but I just pk for fun really.

 

 

 

After that, I decided to go for more mage training. (not Wizards this time...) I headed over to one of my favorite Cursing spots - multicombat, decent safespot, and plenty of monsters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

So many Minotaurs, so little time...

 

 

 

I cursed a bunch of them from the far side of the wall... this made me laugh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I feel so wanted... ^.^

 

 

 

I cursed until I ran out of Bodies, then Fire Striked to 37 mage.

 

 

 

 

 

 

There's one goal accomplished... I teleported to Falador in honor of my achievement.

 

 

 

After that, it was time for the TET event.

 

 

 

From Falador, I headed up to Goblin Village, and slayed Goblins until one dropped a red cape. I headed back and withdrew my Fire Staff from the bank. No way was I going to bother getting a Strength Amulet - Power would have to do.

 

 

 

I came with my pal Rune83Ranger. (I asked permission from him before putting his name in here, don't worry) The cow pen sure was packed!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I took a few other screenies initially, but taking them was making me fall behind in the fire rampage...

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is when everyone started praying for no reason... (Not me, I can't yet... :()

 

 

 

 

 

 

Right at the minute the event started, the entire pen was covered with fire.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We were starting to lose the group at this point... This is my minimap showing east Falador covered in ashes...

 

 

 

We ran from Falador to Varrock to try to catch up to the group, but eventually, we couldn't even see the ashes left behind. I was making sure to burn all 104 of my Willow logs.

 

 

 

The two of us took the planned route all the way to Draynor Village, but from there we went straight back to the Cow Pen, and lots of people were there. Nothing seemed to be happening, so we just left. We were hanging around for about 10 minutes, and I got a genie. ^.^

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the end, I got to level 40 Firemaking. :P

 

 

 

I deposited my Fire Staff, and gave Rune my red cape because I felt like it... and that was the end of my day.

Day 3:

 

 

 

Today wasn't exactly very exciting... but I made some progress.

 

 

 

I started off my day by getting materials for 500 steel bars.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I bought the coal for 175k, but the iron is an entirely different story.

 

 

 

Anyway, there weren't any iron salesmen at the time I bought my coal (World 1 Falador East Bank) so I decided to mine it myself. I quickly donned my skill suit:

 

 

 

 

 

 

...and headed for the Dwarven Mines.

 

 

 

I need 5 more combat levels before the King Scorpians leave me alone... god those things are annoying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I got a Mining level, but I wasn't expecting it, and missed the pic. >.<

 

 

 

I met a guy training ranged down there, and he agreed to kill the King Scorps for me. He stayed there pretty much the entire time I was mining... so we agreed to be friends. He watched me Homeport away as I mined my 500th ore. ^.^

 

 

 

It definately helped having someone to talk to during those 50+ trips back and forth to the Al Kharid furnace. My new friend waws busy PMing me the stats of his PKing trip (turns out he was a Ranged pure...) and I gave him the scoop on smelting my bars. In the end... I spent at least 2 hours getting my 500 steel bars. Got 2 Smithing levels too. ^.^

 

 

 

 

 

 

One amusing distraction was the noob who messaged me claiming to be a "bug in the Runescape system" and if I didn't give him my password in the next 5 seconds, my account would be deleted in 2 days. Heh... we'll see about that.

 

 

 

After that, I headed back to World 1 Falador East to sell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Exactly 100k was my profit. I'm not sure it was entirely worth it... This means I've hit the 500k mark.

 

 

 

And that was my entire Runescape day.

Forums were down yesterday. Ugh.

 

 

 

Anyways, I'll take the stuff from yesterday and lump it in with today's material. Fun...

Day 4:

 

 

 

In an attempt to actually make this blog exciting, I went on another PK run today, and Rune83Ranger tagged along.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We each got a kill. Rune attacked a guy with absolutely nothing. I got lucky. :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

I omitted the guy's name for his privacy. ;)

 

 

 

Anyways, I shared. I kept the airs, deaths, and Rune Scimmy. Rune was given all the other stuff.

 

 

 

Nothing else truly exciting happened this time. when we got back, I sold my Scimitar for 25k.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This got me to 598k. ^.^

 

 

 

After that, I homeported to Lumbridge to cut 1 load of Willows...

 

 

 

 

 

 

Did I mention that I'm on the high scores for Firemaking? XD

 

 

 

That all happened yesterday...

 

 

 

TODAY, I headed up to Barbarian Village. The Stronghold of Security to be specific.

 

 

 

I train strength on the Ankous in level 4. They have a great drop rate for Law Runes, which I always seem to need.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I got 3 law drops (6 runes) for 1 piddly inventory of Trout/Salmon. I also got...

 

 

 

 

 

 

After that, I got invited to PK with 2 more of my friends. They don't know about my blog, so I'm omitting their names. I didn't even get a decent screenshot of us. >.< Next time...

 

 

 

Quite frankly, I prefer going with Rune. With these guys, I'm just the meatshield. (They are lvl 64 and 68, and treat me like a noob >.<)

 

 

 

Anyways, this particular outing lasted an hour, but wasn't very productive. My share of the kills was just junk they didn't want.

 

 

 

 

 

 

At least selling it all got me to 600k.

 

 

 

And that was my Runescape day.

Lately I've been having trouble getting the blog page to load... too many images? This could be bad for my blog... Anyway...

 

 

 

Day 5:

 

I was pretty disappointed that Jagex made the Capes of Achievement members only... Meh. They didn't even give us goats in the nonmember portion of the desert. I WANT GOATS!!! :(

 

 

 

Once I logged on today, I actually was messaged ingame about my blog. ^.^ Naturally, this made me happy. Hopefully the problems with loading will stop eventually.

 

 

 

The one update that applied to F2P was the new graphics, which I set out to explore immediately.

 

 

 

 

The rats look schweet. I didn't notice a change in the normal ones though...

 

 

 

 

These bears were changed to "Black Bears". Does that mean that there are Grizzly Bears running around Runescape that I don't know about?

 

 

 

After that, I headed to a new spot to train my ranged.

400 iron arrows later...

 

 

 

 

 

 

After that, I did some willow-cutting at Lumbridge. But before I had even gotten 1 load, I got... Frogs!

 

 

 

I already had a full frog set, but I was inspired by the new token I received.

 

 

 

I teleported to Falador (^.^) and made for the Makeover Mage, while wearing my frog suit. When I asked for my makeover, he/she told me to take of my frog suit. I found this strange, but did so anyway. I then changed my gender to Female, and... I still had the Prince clothes! This was a discovery.

 

 

 

When I tried on the clothes, they turned into a Princess Gown. I took it off, changed my gender back (and kept the gown), teleported to Varrock, and turned in my token for a prince suit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not many people can say that they have REAL full frog, I'm sure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Aww yeah... B)

 

 

 

And that concluded my Runescape day!

Okay, the really awful load time from yesterday seemed to be a problem with the forum, as today the page loaded quickly. Thank goodness!

Well, I had a lot to do last night, and didn't get onto Runescape AT ALL. >.< So... yeah.

Day 6:

 

 

 

I started today by cutting some willows... again. I should mix things up a bit by now. :/

 

 

 

 

 

 

After that, I took another PKing run. In the middle of preparing for heading out on my own, I was invited by some friends. :P

 

 

 

The team was me, Rune83Ranger, and Fillbertman4, who, again, I asked before sticking his name in here. Fill is a rune pure like myself, and has already starred in this blog.

This time, I was out there for at least an hour. I also managed to solve the bear mystery.

 

 

 

 

"These bears were changed to "Black Bears". Does that mean that there are Grizzly Bears running around Runescape that I don't know about?"

 

Indeed, Grizzly Bears are roaming freely throughout the wilderness. Dun dun dun...

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our run started at the castle, where we found a level 45. He started insulting us. Rune, being level 52, was able to attack. We successfully lured him to level 15 wilderness and I assisted with the kill.

 

 

 

We hung around for awhile, but Rune was forced to tele. Shortly afterwards... the 45 shows up again and starts talking smack. I got him to waste all his food fighting me before he retreated to level 14. Rune then returned and forced him to teleport.

 

 

 

The guy showed up YET AGAIN, and we were able to kill him a second time. I got a kick out of this.
