October 13, 200619 yr Nah, it's not another crappy band thread. Found this the other day and thought it was pretty dang cool. Basically you select a couple of songs from your library that you want a playlist based around, then click the magic button (it tells you how to do it), and then a playlist is created based on those songs. http://www.thefilter.com/ Works with iTunes and it supposedly "learns" your style and won't add songs you frequently skip, etc. It's pretty accurate based on the playing around I did with it, and it's always cool to have a playlist for the various things I do that fits the mood of a few songs.
October 13, 200619 yr Looks good, too bad it can't be used with other players, though. I've stopped using iTunes after the 7th version came out: it was way too heavy and buggy for me. October 13, 200619 yr How long do you have to listen to it before it works well? The first time I used it there were like 3 really "out there" songs out of 20. The rest were pretty close.
