October 14, 200619 yr soo uhh im ashamed to admit this but i commited an offence and jagex messaged me for it. it was so long ago i had nearly forgot about it. so how many offenses does it take to get banned? :-k who has .... experience with this sort of thing and can tell me how scared i should be CURRENTLY SELLING: 59 mage ammys 900 each. if u buy all its 45k. pm meALWAYS BUYING: lobbys 200 each
October 14, 200619 yr Depending on the offense, it might take one occurance, or multiple in order to get permanently banned. If you try to scam someone's password, or pretend to be a Jagex mod, chances are that you'll get banned pretty quickly. If you "only" try to scam someone's armor, it might take 2 or 3 occurances to get banned. You shouldn't get too scared with one warning, just make sure it doesn't happen again and you'll be fine :)
October 14, 200619 yr Author kk good. now, just to clear some stuff up i wasnt scamming anybody i was just saying too many strong words CURRENTLY SELLING: 59 mage ammys 900 each. if u buy all its 45k. pm meALWAYS BUYING: lobbys 200 each
October 14, 200619 yr In that case it will almost definately be 2-3 maybe even 4 offences of that kind before a ban. Just watch yourself though, my friend lost count of warnings and got banned for saying "ph34r me n00bs!". Some level 4 reported him for offensive language....
October 14, 200619 yr You will probalby not be banned for just 1 offence. Just learn of your mistakes and don't do it again, and you will be fine :) . Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
October 14, 200619 yr It really depends on the severity of the offence if you get banend or not. You might get a warning/black mark if it's not that serious. Selling accounts, saying extremely offensive words or Jagex impersonation etc, will mostly likely get you a permenant ban. But you might get a black mark if it's less serious, like admitting to rule breaking in game but still not serious enough. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
October 14, 200619 yr Just ensure that any futur strong language is limated to swear words. You could go pretty fast if other profanity/comments start appering. I wouldent worry about the warning to much though.
October 14, 200619 yr "damn I lost" (which appears as "**** I lost") is actually not a reportable offense. As people have said, it varies from person to person and rule to rule. Do not ask these kind of questions, you're making yourself sound suspicious as in "Can I afford to break another rule?" Try to really follow the rules now, and not count on surviving another black mark. Don't worry, because I can guarantee you that Jagex is careful with people. In almost all cases, the people with an action taken against them are guilty. Visit my Runescape comedy website, based on in-game screenshots.
October 14, 200619 yr Yo wassup Necro! Your full of advice, on these forums and your own lol. I had two black marks, but i appealed one so i only have one. Thats still bad though, i try not to swear anymore. It annoys me that you cant say damn though. Hyt me ingame pl0x!
October 14, 200619 yr Thanks, but I think what you've posted doesn't match with what I mean. Saying damn is not really offensive, as long as the chat filter catches it and you're not swearing at another person. "God **** my socks smell" is okay. But do avoid using these words if possible. October 14, 200619 yr I meant that it's annoying that the new (not new but new-ish) filter blocks out damn, so i cant say it anymore. Hyt me ingame pl0x!
