Complete Revolution to Construction!!!!!!!

Alright, been workin on it this, tweaking it for a little bit now. As you may know, there are exactly 38 people with 99 Construction, the least amount for any skill in the game. Why you may ask? quite simple if you ask me or many others. Construction is a skill with no money gain, and a complete drain of it, as that was the intent of the skill in the first place. What i propose possibly could give a little profit into the skill, but keep up the money drain. To make this following thing work, i need to include a few new things. What i propse overall is the ability to sell your house, with a variety of ways to make this fair and just.

 

 

 

~Multiple Houses~

 

Multiple Houses (up to 3) would be the first addition, to build a new house requires more money than the first and a higher construction lvl.

 

 

 

House One: regular amount it is.

 

 

 

House Two: 50 Construction, 60k

 

 

 

House Three: 70 Construction, 150k

 

 

 

The Pros: By adding new houses, a player can work on more than one house at a time, have different components and different layouts that would suite the buyer. This would make buisiness like mining companies for people to build houses for sellers and sell them.

 

 

 

The Cons: Obviously this would take much space on Jagex's part and that's understandable. This is one of the less needed sections of the suggestion, but it would be very good.

 

 

 

~The Real Estate Agent~

 

You have your house. Great. But to sell it, you'll need some form to sell it. By talking to a new the real estate agent from which you purchased your house, or any station of a real estate agent, he will give you the Deed To the House. Any new owner of a house will recieve this upon buying it. The deed includes such information such as mainly the appraisal amount, explained later in the suggestion. The document shall also include such information of how many rooms and what rooms you have. If you build a new room, your old one will not update, and you will have to purchase another one from the agent for 750gp. You CANNOT sell the deed to your house if it is not updated.

 

 

 

~Appraising your house~

 

Obviously, sell your house will be very difficult, seeing as though it is hard to guesstimate the cost of your house. (Note: You cannot sell your house when any Castle Wars armor, legends cape, dragonfire shield, paintings, portraits, monster heads, silverlight or darklight are in your room. When you remove the armor, cape, shield, monster heads or the two swords, they appear in your inventory again.) THis is where the appraisal agent comes in. Simply talk to him (placed in seers village, varrock, ardougne, rimmington, al kahrid and yanille) and for 5k he will appraise your house. That is, he will give the minimum price it goes for. This number is made upon the number of different planks in the house and the cost of each of them, the cost of every room + 1k, amulet of glory or any armor is the high alch value of both of them, if there are any portals, 80k ea, the cost of other buildings supplies such as magic stones and marble blocks and cost of any monsters or traps in oubliette (if you can think of any more just tell me). Obviously this is NOT the set price, you can sell for any amount at this amount or above it, because if you have high lvl furniture but requires the same number of planks, it would be way off.

 

 

 

Well, that's the revolution of construction. I do not expect this to come out soon at all (2 years min probably) and i'm not even expecting this to come out as a real update, though i will post on official forums.

Hmm, it may need a bit more tweaking to actually be implemented into the game, but I like it. Oh, and gratz on 99 Rock Paper Scissors. :wink:

The reason for the low amount of players with level 99 in Construction is simply because, mainly, it's a new skill.

 

 

 

Though the huge money sink is another factor all together...

na, its mainly because most peopel don't want to spend a 100+M on a skill that has no return. Slayer had more than con's 99 at it's 4th month.

I actually read a thread on the Official Forums that if you want to get 99 Construction and buy all your materials, the cost is roughly 300M :ohnoes:

more houses? why?? why not just add 40 or 60 rooms / player (we have 20 atm) and more typs of rooms is nice... (the costume room was just 1...) or new games in the game room, our own party hall etc... more things to add to your dungion...

the reason for more houses is so you can have two different styles of houses going on at the same time. Different set-ups and such. Your idea may be more plausable since it'd take up less space overall.

Hmm I think this is a viable idea.. would solve the 20 room dilemma for jagex without increasing the room size.. brilliant

good idea but like jagex said on the official forums the 20 room limit is cause they would have to low memory otherwise so this would not work. but! maybe make it so that you pay 5-10 mil and can use the same house on 2 locations and 20-30 mil for 3 places people who have the money prob wil do it and it would drain some money what is a good thing

I liked the idea of 2 mil for 20 more rooms, I know I would pay that much (even though im poor :( )
