To make money -- what's the best skill(s) to train?

Featured Replies

What skills are the most likely to earn me money?

My best skill is fishing, and then comes mining and smithing.

Mine's always been Mining all my own Ores, Smelting and Smithing the Bars and then High Alching the items, there are much faster ways to get cash but I use this because it trains 3 skills intensely and lets you rely on yourself as a source of money. ::'

mining, fishing and woodcutting would be the best money makers

Fish & cook (Lobster) - if not using forums & main trade worlds, Edgeville bank (NOT loose near wildy!) is often a place to find demand.

Trading ores or bars tends to be better cash than smithing items, though smith and alch enables cash to be made without any buyers.

Is there still much demand for oak (construction) - did a K or 2 when oak was trading higher than willow, but after the initial construction level race, it seems to have slowed down.

Unless non-combat skiller, Fish & cook is a double bonus, as being self-sufficient in food means one less combat/training expense.

Runecrafting also has potential, Airs/Minds being probably the best bet in F2P.

P2P pure essence mining may be worth a look, with a rune pick, loading up is fast, faster than iron.

I would say mining. Then you can mine coal really fast and earn alot of money when you sell it in big bulks.

So much depends on your levels and what you like to do.

Woodcutting, fishing and mining are the best free money makers, but they bore some people to tears.

Merchanting is a way lots of people make money - but it bores me.

Good luck and really decide what you like to do.

FISHING!

fish sharks, cook em or just sell em raw, they bring in about 800-1k each, so lets say you fish 1k sharks thats 800k-1mil!!

Another good way, although you need to be a member is Micelliania

Using that helpful island, I made about 12mil without so much as lifting a finger \'

Are you F2P or P2P?

P2P

Woodcutting + fletching.

Abyssal runecrafting. Get whatever pouches you can, 5+ glories and some dueling rings and have at it. I don't want to risk my glories, so I glory to Edge, craft my nats in the abyss, then use a dueling ring to CW to bank and repeat.

I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
