"BEGGING ABUSE"

Featured Replies

I think we should be able to report beggers. They get away with everything and all they're doing is annoying other players. A person came up to me and said " I died give me your whip" I said "no". He reported me for bug abuse lol. Anyway post comments here thanks.

If they report you for no reason, report them as "Misuse of Customer Support." Then use Ignore.

Lying to other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of the game and will not be tolerated.

If you claim you were hacked/scammed/died, and you weren't, that's lying. And if you use it to ask for items, it's for your own personal gain.

Could begging be considered as scamming?

Well, technically, yes. It's kinda like people who set in wagons with their arms tucked in their shirts saying they lost their limbs in a war. It's considered a scam IRL, so why not in the game?

I wish I could report a begging person to, yes, almost always there is some guy who is begging for some money or something else...

but they are right, people could do it to you without any reason or taking it the wrong way. :|

Heh, this wouldn't really work, (no boundries) but the scamming idea is a good one, I like that. :D

Just the other day, a low level (heh, I've seen high levels begging too) saying: "Free stuff please!" He started following me, I asked him "What?" he said he wanted free stuff, I said "No, go earn it yourself" At that point he went to the bank & got out full mith & 109k, he said "HA! You're a noob!" so I showed him 110k & stuff worth over 1.5mil  he then says: "OMG you stupid geek! I bet you play 25/7 (What the heck lol?)" Gosh I bet he got that cash from begging.

You can't really report people for begging, unless they spam then you can report themf or spamming. It's like in real life, you can't report a homeless person for begging you...

But you can get the police after them when they are trying to con you, like the example in my above post.

Exactly, it would be quite hard to draw the line somewhere. Especially if you're one of those anti-social high-level players. The kind that automatically hate and refuse to talk to lower levels.

Barrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail

I agree, unfortuntely it isn't really item scamming unless you abuse it.

Even if the beggars are high level and have good stuff, there is no telling where you're going if you teleport. So teleporting will trick them since the teleport animations look all the same.

By the time the beggar uses the spell you used, you walked away already and are doing something else. Problem solved.

Believe me it works for me.
