Immortality on Earth-Questions

Generally immortality goes along with eternal youth, because aging=death, so immortality would not occur without eternal youth among other things, such as immunity to all disease, no need for food, and many others.

If you are immortal, you don't die, you could be sick in bed for the rest of your life. You would just have serious hunger pangs if you need food but couldn't get it, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Immortality is complicated. You can't die, ever. Imagine living for 20,000,000 years. I imagine you would get pretty sick of it after the first 500. No to mention the milky way is on a collison course with the Andromeda galaxy so in 3 billion years the sun and planets will all probably collide with other objects and in the end after billions of years you will eventually end up in a black hole. Alone. In darkness. For eternity.

What would happen if you were in a black hole? Would you still be alive if your body was torn into atoms? Is that possible? Keep in mind that you are immortal.

- Oh and being inside a black hole would be a bit more complicated then being torn into atoms. A black hole is a singularity, which is essentially a particle of infinite gravity that is the size of a proton... So to be inside a black hole you are inside a proton (along with the hundreds of stars and other matter that has already fallen into it.)

Yeah, and actually, there can be no "opinion" on a definition. Mortality means you die. Immortality means you don't die. Just because you're immortal, does not mean you'll stay young forever though. After a million years you will probably look drier than an old piece of bread.

True, because in reality immortality is impossible, and your sense of existence relies on your brains that tell you you're conscious. Your brains are made of atoms. Just because you're immortal, it doesn't mean you can break the laws of physics and turn into millions of scattered atoms without dying.

Immortality really isn't that impossible. Well not in the dictionary/biological sense. Cancer cells, for example, are immortal. You can separate a tumor, put it in a petri dish and if they have a constant source of food they won't ever die or even age. Biologists define them as immortal.

Or you can just burn them... Immortality as in being immune to all external threats is not possible. Dying by entering a black hole is not a natural death.

If ur immortal you don't die or age i think and u can't be hurt at all thats my definition.I rather wish unltimed wish or wish if i imagined something it would really happen.
