November 13, 200619 yr I want to get a high thiving level really bad, but when I go to pyramid plunder I play one game for 5 minutes, get bored, and log off. I either get hungry ( I'm not fat :P ), or I just find something better to do. I just want to play for at least 30 minutes straight! I know it seems the opposite of how people play too much, but I don't want to waste my RL money on members, if I'm just going to play 5 minutes a day. Can any of you people tell give me a good way to keep playing the game, and not just log off after 5 minutes? Thanks :
November 13, 200619 yr Find something you love to do, and get some committment when it comes to skills. They can be slow but hey, what do you expect. My personal loves are CW, Mage, Runecraft, PC, etc. "You've got something on your head, oh wait! That's just your p-hat!"
November 13, 200619 yr Another great way not to get bored instantly is having lots of active and close friends, that you can talk with. Nothing is boring when you have your friends there with you.
November 13, 200619 yr Author Lol, I don't really have any, wanna be my friend :) Add me, mmmmmmm174 That's 7 M's 8-)
November 13, 200619 yr well if ya want sure, I'll add you :P edit: forgot to ask, whats your char name :)
November 13, 200619 yr Listen to iTunes, go on a certain website that you can talk to friends via adding them and commenting/messaging them :) Or go outside and sk8 :3> Or go do your project that's due tommorow....
November 13, 200619 yr I believe that as soon as you stop enjoying the game, you should stop playing. Why do something that is a chore in your free time?! When you feel you want to play it again, it will be all the better. I have stopped for now, but I think the new skill will bring some motivation back for me. SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.
November 13, 200619 yr I have heard rumors of some players using Teamspeak servers (or other VoIP conferencing software) for some PvP events/activities. Since Runescape has little clan support aside from the team capes, this might make the community aspect a little more enticing, especially if you are in a clan.

"rumors" ? if you are doing Team PvP and not using teamspeak/ventrino you are at a dissadvantage.
November 13, 200619 yr you could listen to music and turn off the rs music Thx to ibcrootbeer for the sig!!
November 14, 200619 yr chat with ur friends. listen to some music. multi-game. i actually play three games at the same time while rs-ing. the most important part is training ur patience and getting committed - at the same time, u would get addicted too, so that's the con. so just get motivated. think - why do you want high thieving really bad? make that reason your fuel, your motivation. for example, i want lvl 80 fishing, and the main reason is so i can fish sharks for cash. so you just get yourself excited about sharks and think about it while you fish. it really helps, cauz i managed to fish over 4 hrs straight. another part is where you need to keep yourself interested. don't concentrate on rs. read forums, listen to music, but if you really want to keep to the screen, dun look at the exp and how close you are to jumping levels. keep yourself to the task and how much loot you are getting. it makes time past faster for you.

When you feel you want to play it again, it will be all the better. +1 Take a break! This game is supposed to be your way to enjoy yourself when not at school/work/sports etc. If it's not, DO SOMETHING ELSE! You'll find that if /when you return, your charackter will still be there, as well as all other things that is RS (sorry, that includes macros, jerks, scammers etc). Set some (realistic) goals, and for me it has worked to NOT do things for a long time. Example: I always buy battlestaffs when I'm in Varrock or Yanille. When I have a bunch, I make myself some b-staffs for alching+money. Make them from scrap, it gives you 3 skills to train! Crafting, RC, magic. And some cash! NOT boring at all! Combine skills to make them less boring. As for thieving: I farm+thieve in ardougne at the same time. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
