CubeMage128
Well, I've been been messing around in the mage training arena a bit when I get bored, and I'm starting to accumulate a nice amount of points. My question is, should I get the bones to peaches spell, or should I save up and get an infinity bottom for some extra cash? Or, should I do something completely different with the points? I have full infinity except the gloves (Never saw a need for them, because the RFD ones are better). I don't have a mage book or any type of wand (I'll probably just buy a mage book, because it costs less than the infinity bottom, but requires more points). I'm level 59 slayer, and I haven't really found myself thinking "Man, I wish I had that bones to peaches spell...", but I don't know if I will in the near future. Basically, I'd like to know if Bones to Peaches are all that useful for slayer, OR future training in the graveyard arena.
Ethiery
It's very very very very much worth it. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read.
CubeMage128
Could you be a bit more specific, please? I really don't do slayer that much, but I'd like to know how much it helps with assignments and training.
Intriguing
Personally, I'd just get the spell. You never know when it could come in handy. Plus, if you are gonna keep training there, I'd say it would help with graveyard quite a bit. However, this is all based upon my opinion purely, and not facts, as I don't have the spell (I gave up trying to get it once I discovered how much I hate the graveyard). Cool. Some folks recommend it highly for infernal mage assignments-- they hit really hard regardless of how high you get your magic defense, so having that accessible will help you stay on the assignment longer. As far as the Mage Training Arena again, the spell will obviously help you more if you're getting pizazz in the Graveyard, and so you may get those Infinity pieces to liquidate for cash faster :)
rft
Some people like using b2p for dusties as they cant use guthans to heal there. If your def is high enough, you can stay down there indefinitely. I also like using b2p on assignment for abarrent specters. They tend to hit me fairly often, and I can just jump down the chain and kill a few crawling hands to get my hp back. I also use b2p on bloodvelds as they often drop lots of bones. Its a nice alternative to guthans if you want to put the time in. The only bad thing is putting the time in for the telekinetic theatre - it drove me mad!! Best Barrows Chest: guth skirt, dh helm, dh axe, racks, gp (23/08/06); best tt reward: robin, guthix helm, guthix legs, nats, rune legs
djp2rr
If you r going to train slayer using melle then B2P is a must. Saves you going back and forth to bank, if you are fighting higher lvl critters... :ohnoes: Although it only works on small bones (not big or larger), as I found out when trying to use it to get my rune defender... #-o I agree with rft, the telekinetic theatre also drove me mad. Don't think I will ever go in there again... :wall:
meb
Bones to peaches is worth it for doing the graveyard game, but if you don't slay that often it's not that useful, especially if you have full guthans. Although a real sorceror would grab every chance to learn a new spell 8-) . transcript80
I agree with rft, the telekinetic theatre also drove me mad. Don't think I will ever go in there again... :wall: +1! I got just because I can't stand the fact that I cannot cast a spell just because I didn't do some minigame like the mage training arena. I like to have things unlocked... *rushes over to mage arena to get flames of zammy and Sara strike* I really HATED the bone yard (didn't waste any nats so I got myself healed at duel arena = the hard/slow way) and the mazes. All that running around for...well....erm... bones to peaches! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
meb
Going a bit off-topic here, but I liked the maze game. I liked everything but the alching area. I just hate alching. The Graveyard is easy, just grab and count till you can get a (nearly) full ivnentory *poof* bananas! Deposit, repeat, and when you're down to 10hp *poof* peaches and eat back to full. Very fast.
