Rune kite OR obby shield?

Featured Replies

Ok, need another player's opinion here.

OK...So, i have 2 options..

1) Keep my rune Kiteshield and save up, and not lose money

OR

2) Sell my rune kite, and buy the obby shield..although I will be dead BROKE.

If I do buy it, Im gonna be making cannonballs to level 50 smithing so I can sell them 200 ea.

So..should I buy the shield?

ooby shield is worse in my opinion all the defense stats are actually lower apart from ranged

but if you dont fight melee opponents and only need ranged defence

or you just prefer that extra strength bonus

then you can get the obby shield, but in your position i decided against it

Alright, ty. my plan actually, is to make cannonballs and get 300k from that to buy the shield. That way, I raise smithing, AND I don't go broke :D

Either way, Im going to look up the defence stats for both of them on a different site. Mainly to decide if risking the defence is worth the strength bonus.

Wow, for 60 defence you'd figure the obby shield would be better, LOL

I'm pretty sure you need 50 defence for obby shield...

On topic: Rune kiteshield is generally better in defence than an Obsidian shield is, but the Obby shield gives a strength bonus, and in my opinion looks nicer. About the saving up for dsq, you would need to beat legends too

you do need 60 defence for obby, and another option for you would be to get a rune defender, if your just looking for the strength bonus, if not stick to your rune kite its good enough = \

get a rune defender :D
