new quest - The Queen Bee

Featured Replies

This is based on a classic fairy tale.

The Queen Bee

synopsys: A mysterious enchantment has turned every inhabitant of a castle into stone! Only a kind adventurer can resolve the situation.

requirements: none

Start: Talk to the king at the castle. After chatting for a while, he will tell you about his three sons. The king tells the player that the two older brothers are often up to mischief, while the youngest one was well behaved.

Just then, the younger brother would suddenly interrupt the conversation and report that the older brothers are planning to cause trouble for the forest animals.

The younger brother would say that he saw the older brothers tearing up an ant hill. When the player gets there, it would be too late. However, the player can repair the ant hill with fifteen pieces of wet clay.

Just as the player is done, the younger brother would then report that his brothers were setting traps for ducks, and would tell the player to disarm them. The player can disarm the trap by clipping the wires with shears.

Finally, the younger brother would be horrified that the older brothers were burning a bee hive alive. To save the bees, the player would have to use a bucket of water with the fire beneath the hive.

Later, the three brothers would meet at a castle far larger than their own. The strange thing would be that there were no people there, except for a strange old man. The player has to talk to the old man. There, (s)he learns that the people of the castle had been petrified by an unknown enemy. If the player could restore them, they would be greatly rewarded. But here's the catch. There are three tasks that, when completed, will restore the castle. However, anyone who starts but fails would be turned into stone!

The tasks are:

1. retrieve the youngest princess' 1,000 pearls

2. retrieve the youngest princess' key from a nearby lake

3. pick the youngest of three sleeping look-alike princesses

For the first task, the players would speak to the ants, who he had saved. For the second task, the player has to speak to the ducks. For the third task, the player learns that the youngest one had eaten honey. The player has to talk to the queen bee for assistance.

The youngest brother marries the youngest princess. Quest complete!

rewards:

1. 1 QP

2. 5,000 gp from the old man, on behalf of the castle's people

3. an uncut diamond from the youngest son

[4. possible future quests that involve the castle's people]

What castle(s)? And is this quest F2p or P2p?

Thank the world for spell checkers.

It would be cool if you could chose wither you wanted to get marriage made or kill off the prince for a different story line. Each one brings different quest to be made. Also we need more information on the basics of where.

does it give access to something cool or something? if not it would be pretty pointless -.-
