their minds remained unchanged from rsc to rs2, so their puny rsc minds went into shock when they saw the much better graphics, and henceforth cannot differentiate between different three-dimentional object.

either that or andrew whacked 'em in the head with runescape because they weren't too effective at stopping macroers, and so their image processing parts of their brains don't work as effectively as they used to, and so must ask us while killing blue dragons with melee

Al right, I'll think of some humourius reason. Don't worry.

Because they really want to get rid of the things in their briefcase and have no idea what else to put out of it, so they ask adventurers for help.

I hope this one is better reason than my last one.

because they have the intelligence of the sock that has been under my bed for a year?

clearly your sock is smarter...it obviously hides so u wont step on it, where as the certers just get taken advantage of everyday.

They turned senile and forgot the name of every item except the ones they used to exchange for certs in rsc? :-w. I suppose this thread should be in forum games?

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Maybe when they were using magic to change the items into notes. They changed their brains into notes as well, and one day they will ask you to tell them which cert is a brain.

[sarcasm] OH EM GEE. I was Rolling On the Floor Laughing Out Loud.[/sarcasm]

My reason:

They somehow bent Geilnor's space/time continuim and have black holes in their briefcases which lead to the black hole (from rsc). So when they pull out stuff from players in the black hole, it is noted(so they can pull it out of the hole, duh).

Because all random events are simple, the same reason why Mysterious Old Man has some question, it's meant to be quick, you don't get hard challenge doing nothing.

If you want REAL challenge try to solve some puzzles, do some quests, Rogue's Maze could be it, there are many ways to get real challenge.

Random events are there to stop macroers (even if it failed) so they ask simple questions, often people are in hurry, so they don't wanna take time solving the challenge, see my point?

mazes take alot longer than a strange box and are quite challenging to accomplish on your first try
