They somehow bent Geilnor's space/time continuim and have black holes in their briefcases which lead to the black hole (from rsc). So when they pull out stuff from players in the black hole, it is noted(so they can pull it out of the hole, duh).

Because all random events are simple, the same reason why Mysterious Old Man has some question, it's meant to be quick, you don't get hard challenge doing nothing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you want REAL challenge try to solve some puzzles, do some quests, Rogue's Maze could be it, there are many ways to get real challenge.

mazes take alot longer than a strange box and are quite challenging to accomplish on your first try
