Unnecessary locking of topics on this board

Do we have to lock topics on this board once the issues has been resolved/fixed?

I refer specifically to subTrail and "Feature" removal - the issues raised in these topics were fixed, and then the topic was locked. I don't see the reason for locking these topics - they should be left open IMO so people can thank the staff for the fix, or comment on the fix, or point out that it wasn't quite correctly implemented, etc. The discussion doesn't end as soon as the issue is resolved.

Does that make sense to anyone?

Thanks from me too.

I very much like how things seem to get done now. In the past we'd bring up problems and they'd never get acted upon but now they not only get attention, but we get decent dialogue on them too.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
